:( The chorus and 2pac's verse are so great. Even with the shitty quality i cant help but listen to it over and over.

Sorry, dont know the answer your question :p

produced in 95. likewise, if you know stretch's sample-heavy production style, this track completely reeks of him. no question on my mind it's a stretch joint, but the timing seems interesting.

wait this doesnt make sense to me...the track was produced by Stretch in mid 95' yet pac cut Stretch off after the 94' shooting...

listen to the interviews.when pac was in jail,he heard stretch was hanging with biggie,so he felt that even his closest homie is abandoning him.therefore they were still friends after the shooting

well my best guess would be that the instrumental was produced while they were still cool, and pac must have just recorded his pella with it when he got out, and probably couldnt get it cleared to use by Live Squad because of his beef with Stretch...I'm probably totally wrong but it's simply a THEORY.

OR

Pac just coulda forgotten his hate for Stretch and did a song with him and hated him again afterwards...lol

pac was only signed to death row a short period of 1995.

"my best guess is that both those are stupid theories"

the second one was meant to be sarcastic, the first one may be stupid but at least it's a theory...no one else is seeming to shoot out any ideas so I figure I'd step up to the plate with the most logical thing i could think of, not tryin to start nothin I just can't seem to understand how a song could be produced by Stretch in 95' when supposedly they weren't even talking...

But wasn't he in jail for practically the rest of it?

And if he cut off all ties with stretch after he got shot, there's no way he was down with him in '95.

thats what im saying i mean pac talked about how pissed he was at stetch in jail why would he have him producing a song right when he got out

they WERE talking after the shooting

as Dante said, they didnt stop talking til Pac was in jail and Stretch started hanging around Bad Boy

Stretch himself said "I saw Pac mad times after the shooting"

mad meaning many, not angry.

my interpretation was that the song was laid down in late 94 and finished (mixed, mastered) while pac was in jail starting in chirstmas 94. pac and stretch never worked together after he moved to death row.

and its a shame, because Stretch would've dropped the dopest beat on the entire AEOM album too had one of his beats been on there

imagine what Stretch would've sounded like with the Dogg Pound and Snoop on his shit

Really? Pac's verse just sounds so Death Row-ish to me, vocally and content-wise.
