Murder vs. Attempted Murder

#1
Why should attempted murder carry less of a penalty than successful murder?

If I put a gun to your head and pull the trigger, should my punishment depend on whether or not the bullet kills you?

There's actually a big difference. You can get attempted murder just for getting into a fight or something and having a gun with you. I went thru something like this not too long ago where i almost got fucked over royally but thank god things turned out for the better.

Obviously the charge is different, but in my opinion it is just luck that the person doesn't die so the time served or punishment shouldn't be different in my opinion. The persons aim was to kill you in examples like shooting someone, beating someone really really badly.. Like most things there are differences, each situation would be different in most cases.

I got arrested for attempted murder when I was 16. There was no evidence though so I ended up with a lesser charge and 5 years probation.

Attempted murder is a bullshit charge a lot of the time. Like DP said, cops try and pin that shit on you for small shit like fights. In my case, it was an argument and threatening someone with a knife - that is hardly attempting to kill someone.

Not really sure that God is a practical basis for justice tbh
JUSTICE @ THE FOUNDATION IS PART OF GODS WORK. AND W/ THE EXAMPLE POSTED YOU CANT TELL ME THAT HES NOT INVOLVED UNLESS YOUR EXPERIENCED @ CORRECT BULLET FATALITY ENTERANCE PROBABILITY
