There are alot of questions I have about this album, I'd really appreciate it if someone could come in and help me answer them:

1. Why was it changed from 3 day theory to 7 day theory, and was it pacs wishes for it to be changed?

2. Was Friends the only track cut or were there other songs recorded for the album that didn't make the cut?

3. In a earlier post Dante said that the album used to be alot more raw and hardcore, why was it changed since it was supposed to be a realease for the "streets"?

4. Suge says the album was put out EXACTLY how pac intended it, is that completely true? If not what makes it false?

5.Why only 12 songs on this release when we know there were plenty more tracks available for use?

6. Were there anymore videos planned to be shot or were they just going to stick with Toss It Up & To Live And Die In L.A.

7. I've heard rumors that pac finished the album in 3 days and i've heard rumors pac finished the album in a week, which is true, if any?

8. How many copies were sold so far, and as of what date?

If I could please get some help on these ?'s it would be GREATLY appreciated, thanks.

I have the making of that album in XXL right in front of me...ill answer all i can.

2. Approximatley 20 songs were put to tape at Los Angeles Can-Am Studios, 11 of which made the final product. pac recorded Toss it up before this point, and the beat from Blackstreet's "no diggity" was used. Beat originally made for pac by dre, then sold to blackstreet. Doesnt mention on specifics on what tracks were cut.

7.The recording sessions that yielded tupac shakaurs last album took place over 7 hennessy soaked days in August 1996.

There's a posthumous video for Hail Mary, so it's a safe bet that a video would have been made for it regardless.

8. How many copies were sold so far, and as of what date?
I could be mistaken, but I think Death Row has stopped certifying additional platinum statuses on old albums. What I do know is that it's over 5 times platinum.

2. Was Friends the only track cut or were there other songs recorded for the album that didn't make the cut?
You could probably make some educated guesses as to which tracks were recorded during the same time but didn't make the cut. For example, High Speed uses some of the same effects in its beat as Bomb First and Life Of An Outlaw.

The Lawz say it was because the album was finished in a week.

Obviously there were more.

3. In a earlier post Dante said that the album used to be alot more raw and hardcore, why was it changed since it was supposed to be a realease for the "streets"?

The whole "release for the streets" plan was early, the album wasn't even supposed to have any videos, that quickly changed.

4. Suge says the album was put out EXACTLY how pac intended it, is that completely true? If not what makes it false?

I'd imagine it's true, even though they got the name of the album wrong.

5.Why only 12 songs on this release when we know there were plenty more tracks available for use?

That's just how Pac wanted it, he recorded plenty of songs that were never used, that's why there's so much material left.

6. Were there anymore videos planned to be shot or were they just going to stick with Toss It Up & To Live And Die In L.A.

I heard Just Like Daddy, Krazy.. could just be rumors, who knows.

7. I've heard rumors that pac finished the album in 3 days and i've heard rumors pac finished the album in a week, which is true, if any?

I doubt he finished it in 3 days.

2 i think the tracks that were cut was,friends,nigga nature,u dont hav 2 worry,tear drops & closed caskets,soon as i get home,lost souls,letter 2 the president,thats all i can remember off the top of my head,i remember reading it in a qd3 interview,i think.

3 it was meant to be an ep for the streets jus to let know pac was still raw,4 whatever reason he changed it to an lp.

4 i think the album was finished befor pac died, but who knows,so many people lie u dont know what to believe.

7 i think pac finished the songs in three days but it 7 days to have fully mixed.

i always thought/heard that pac finished the album in 3 days and it took the engineers 7 full days to mix it down fully, and thats why they changed it to 7 days. i could be wrong though. i think this may be true because i remember pac saying sumn like "we dont have the time or luxury to be spending all this time on 1 song.....let a engineer or a muthafucka that loves listening to beats stay up all night and listen for specific kicks in the beats and shit like that....we gotta do it hurry up and keep it moving". he said sumn to that effect and it kinda goes with the theory of him finishing his part in 3 days and it taking the engineers 4 days to mix the album down. so im guessing it was 3 of the 7 days he took to record the album and 7full days to fully mix it down.

if the engineers took extra time, why would pac be on record saying 7 days?

dude read my post, i took it straight out of XXL's making of Makaveli 7 Day Theroy issue. It specifically says that pac recorded over 7 hennessy soaked days. NOT the engineers/mixers etc...

^^ exactly right. it was originally to be the three day theory, and it was extended to seven. pac says both on record, and i'd trust the xxl information from the people who worked on the album.

I think Pac mentioned spoke about the Makaveli album in one of his interviews. He acutally mentioned that it had 12 songs on it...but I just cant seem to find the interview.

He said that in his last interview with VIBE. It's not on the CD, but it is in the published interview in VIBE's biography of Pac, calling it his "dopest album ever."
