Tupac is a worldwide figure. He has done stuff to help the community, starting aids awareness campaigns when he was younger and stuff. Your teacher is dumb for just not knowing Tupac, period.

tupac would make u listen, he had that voice and charisma. Had he not sold as many records, nobody would have listened to anything else he had to say. Watch the prison interview, Pac was very political.

I remember tupac said that he isn't gonna be the one to change the world but he guaranteed that his music will trigger the mind that will change the world. His music has triggered alot of stuff.

This is exactly what I was thinking. Tupacs impact will trigger the mind that changes the world. There are so many people that listen 2 pac, some poor, some stars...the point is, a lot of people take it deep to heart, and that ignites action.

Most people will never understand Pac since his music isn't socially acceptable. People won't even bother giving him a chance cause his music is labeled as 'gangsta rap.' It's prejudiced but that's the way things are.
Yeah this is true, but Malcolm X was never understood by everybody & still isn't to this day.

When he was with the N.O.I white people - & many black people - could not relate to him.

And when he left the N.O.I, they could not relate to him nor could the vast majority of white people.

seriously, i see pac fans talking a bunch about how he changed the world, but they can never get beyond that. pac was a musician, and his music was used to provoke thought. pac was not an activist, a politician, or the traditional personality whom someone regards as a changer. mohammed ali changed america by refusing the draft and giving power to muslims in america with his refusal to acknowledge his former name, malcolm x and mlk obviously changed america quite a bit, and i think it cheapens their phlights to pair them in the same catagory as entertainers. pac had a voice, but at the end of the day he was a rap musician and not a social activist. i think your teacher is partially right, and you are as well.

pac definitely had potential as a future activist, but until the moment he died he was more of a commentator on the circumstances of the traditional american poor black youth.

uhhh...

alot of teachers just think they know it all and like to take the piss......your teacher probably just bluntly said that without knowing much at all about pac.
