I have always thought of myself as a relatively simple person. Now, when I say that, I mean that I have solid ideas about my likes and dislikes, desirables, things I want in life.

I have always been this way. I told a girl once that I was "pretty simple" and she reacted by saying, "you shouldn't say that," as if I was putting myself down, but I think she may have taken it the wrong way.

I'm simple in that I know I love salmon and hate tomatoes. I love action movies and I despise romances. I love sleeping and I hate working.

When it comes to women and relationships, I know exactly what I want. I have an idea of a certain personality, body image, et cetra. I don't like to play the stupid games people play with each other. I don't like the idea of "the chase" where the guy is after the girl and she's playing "hard to get" and all that shit. I don't like to waste time. I know pretty quickly if I'm interested in someone and if they feel the same way, let's make it happen. And if they don't, then well, I don't want to waste my time.

And I've come to the conclusion that this simplicity is a huge problem

And it's a huge problem because there are so many people who are not like this.

You have all these girls saying they don't know what they want, don't know what they're looking for. And oftentimes, they're content with that because that's the way they are and always have been. But they drag the simple ones down because this idea is alien to them.

And it's very very frustrating.

Get a grip on reality. Women like action, and they like romance. Women also like a guy that 'works'. How do you expect to be a playa and have money, if you despise working, and don't work to have money? Do you think there are women out there who like a guy that doesn't work and has money? Do you even think that there are guys out there that don't work and have money? Repeat that last question to yourself. Women like money, and I like money more than I like women. I'm a playa. I have money, and I work. Let this be a lesson, take note of your social status. Life is complex, it is a part of life, growing and understanding. lol no. i think my point was misinterpreted. I was just using those things like action movies and romance movies, working and sleeping, as examples, nothing more.

I'm trying to illustrate that there are people in life who know what they want, they almost always know what they want. And then there are those that rarely know what they want and that fucks shit up for others.

Alluding to what Chronic was talking about, I want to add that by putting yourself under a certain label, you're constraining yourself. Thinking of yourself as simple is a constraint. Thinking of what girls you like and what girls you don't like is a constraint. Having a "type" when it comes to girls is a constraint. We as individuals don't know ourselves as much as we think we do. If we don't venture out, step outside the box, or do things that seem uncomfortable to us, we may miss out on things.

So eliminate the simple and venture out into the unknown, man. The root of the problem is not simplicity, but accepting simplicity as a description of who you are.

I see your point, but just because i've always been clear about the things i want in life doesn't mean that i would never venture away from that and try something completely new or spontaneous. It just means that i'm not someone who is always ambivalent about everything, seesawing back and forth. I see no reason for that and I find it really annoying when people do act like that.

You remind me of some stoner I went to high school with. He thought he was the smartest person in our school and would always try and tell me how his brain had "evolved" past the point of a regular human. He would claim he was an "enlightned mind" because all the weed he smoked him gave him a different perspective on things. Most of the things he said were based on his thoughts and nothing else. Anyways, he would always say things and try to sound intelligent but instead ended up making no sense or sounding like an idiot.
