Confirmed what I'd suspected for a long time...
Wanna know why there's a lot of red on the Makaveli Branded shit? Ever wondered why there's clothes with the Red bandana print on, but no blue Bandana print?
Afeni gave the design team specific instructions to include the flag, because of Tupac's blood affiliation. I'll quote the dude.
"Afeni wanted the clothes to rep pac to the fullest, so you got pictures from all across his career and of the course the red was a big thing that she wanted to see used. Niccas needed to put that shit on to get the spots in the Compton Swapmeet to sell it, because the M.O.B niccas don't like a lot of blue shit being sold up in there. We delivered a lot of the early designs direct to a lot of the niccas out there to see how they felt it. We had a couple hundred M.O.B niccas out there flaggin and shit and throwing the 2s up. Shit was dope. But yeah, you right homie, the red was definitely intended. If you go out to M.O.B Town you'll see some big ass murals, everyone remembers the big 'Live By the Gun' shit they did in NY, but the M.O.B niccas got some beautiful, beautiful murals up. Thing is not any nicca can walk through and take pictures. Things run a little different out there " - Rick Edwards
I know you've seen the white tee with 'Makaveli Branded' in red bandana print. All of the limited edition shit they did was red too.
