Johnny J "30 Pac Songs In The Vault" ???

#1
Don't know if this is an old topic. I wasn't aware of the Johnny J remix album they were trying to put out until i heard the incredible "Until The End Of Time" version he did. So I went back to old Johnny J interviews and he keeps mentioning still having 30 unreleased songs in the vault. BUT i did notice one interview, he mentioned songs we've heard like "Komrads", "play Ya Cards Right"- Charlie Wilson/Johnny J version, "Wherever U R" w/ Big Daddy Kane & Outlawz, "Reincarnation". Another interview he talked about a couple left over from the Thug Life era, which were probably these ones that got leaked earlier this year. I don't know if Johnny J considers unused remixes he did for Amaru as "unreleased" tracks.

So how many songs do you guys think Johnny had left? I'm guessing there are about 30 total - from Death Row, Amaru, Johnny, etc. - that are left.

lol enough with the "Silence" jokes, shit is getting old now.

As for this thread, I'd like to point out:

1. My late homie Johnny (RIP) played me three of those songs you mentioned (all vastly superior to the released versions), and three more, which I have never shared any information on and likely never will.

2. IMO, the "30 song" he mentioned include remixes he did that were never used. I would say 10-15 of those tracks would fit into that category (from what I know), meaning there's 15-20 unreleased songs. Of course, a few of those 15-20 have leaked to bootleg already.

This is of course, part speculation on my part, and part based upon conversations I had with Johnny prior to his death. Considering the amount of work 'Pac did with Johnny, and the fact that even producers he didn't do a lot of work with, like Dr. Dre and QD3 have a handful of unreleased songs they did with 'Pac, these numbers are fairly accurate.

if i remember correctly big puns verse went ...

"i hear them foes creeping up in silence
look out behind me
cuz them snitch ridden fools
is tryna blind me
got mind on my footsteps
my hearts beatin' death
as i took out the last bitch
who couldn't hear i crept
..."

they are the only lyrics i can remember, big puns verse is tight
