Today at 4am my dad recieved a phone call from his auntie in Bosnia that his mother died... He was leaving tomorrow to see her.

She was ill, but no one expected that she'll die...

Beggining April, I lost my first grandmother, I now lost my second.

I'm officially grandparentless... :(

Sorry to hear that. I have one grandmother who is a death waiting to happen. She's very old and not only as far as her age goes, she looks old, walks like she's old, you can tell her body is tired. She'll probably die in the next two years, and I'm dreading it cause I used to be at her house all the time when I was a kid. I'll probably cry a lot which I haven't done for other grandparents' deaths so far. My other grandma is gonna live at least another decade.

On a side note, your thread made me think about the time when I thought about what it would be like the day you're officially parent-less. That's gonna really suck.

Edit: Again, sorry to hear about your loss, I sidetracked a little.

Yeah, I'm wondering how my parent's feel.

In april, my mom said that for the first time in her life, she feels like she has to be on her own.

Yeah, that's definitely a scary notion.

Were you close with your grandma? I'm only asking because she was still living back home in Bosnia at the time of her death.

Yeah, bar last year, I spent every summer in Bosnia (4 months usualy).

Per year, I live 8 months Quebec, 4 months Bosnia/Croatia usually.

sorry to hear that. i lost all of my GPs over a three year span (89-92), the last when i was 11. i just feel envious of those of you who were able to experience a longer life with them. but it does suck for you, hizzle, and i'm sorry for your loss.
