Sucks.. you are very lucky!!! I'm glad to hear you are okay and luckily they seemed to be amateurs and not hardened criminals. You're strong mentally, you might stress over a few days but if any one can get over the ordeal you certainly can. Definitely hit me up if you need to chat :)

Flip - this area can be quite bad at times so it's not uncommon. The cops said the fact that it was a white guy and a black guy was distinctive.

Yak - guns are illegal here. You can get 10 years or more in jail just for possession of one.

Keco, Shadows - I am very sorry to hear about your loved ones. I am definitely reflecting on how fortunate I am right now.

SOFI - When they had told me to drop the bag and held the knife to my stomach, I looked at the one guy straight in the eye and said "Why are you doing this?" he said "I got a baby, I got a baby". I said to him "I understand. I'm not judging you", and he said "No you don't understand", and I said "I do. I'm from the streets too. I know how it is. But this is not the right way. I've done nothing to you, leave me alone".

I think that they expected me to just hand my things over and not defend myself and didn't know what to do when I didn't respond that way. I think their hesitation bought me enough time to duck around the car, at which point they realized there were people watching and so they disappeared back towards the alleyway.

Good to hear you got out of that unharmed dude. Next time be more careful though. No matter how much you value what's in your pockets and in your bags it's not worth your life even though I would have hesitated to give it up too.

damn, me and my friend tonight also saw some long haired guy with heavy bags. we tried to stab him for his luggage and my mate wanted his wallet especially. the idiot went running around a parked vehicle and then some random guy called the police so we had to get out there FAST!

we're okay now.

no seriously. you okay now? time is a good healer. events like these make us realise how lucky we are, since life is the best gift we have and how lucky we are to be living in contrast to those who died over the stupidest of things or who were at the wrong place/wrong time.

3 times i was a target of a mugging, only once they took something but that was outta my pocket since my bus pass wasnt tucked in properly. when coming back from school one day, i was confronted by 4 black people on hinstock road, was there negotiating for like 10 mins. some taxi driver came and chased them into the park, they ran off like usain bolt trainees. i was like 10 years old and they were like easily in their 20s with bikes etc.

the other times i was confronted by pussyholes from holyhead school (they had ebef with our school) and they wanted my phone since they saw my nokia handsfree headset on show. i asked him "who the fuck are you?", he goes im answering back and tried punching me but i blocked it. i went mad on this occasion and told him to do one since i also knew people on the same road this happened, carter road/grove lane.

i used to always walk home on my own a lot in certain places, and i used to take shortcuts through different places sometimes.

anyway, you shouldve pulled out your neo-funk sword or whatever neo-funk masters use to claart their enemies with.

It happens.

Normally they ask for a cigarette, or a light. Happened to me a couple of times when I was younger. What area of London was it?

I think most people on the rob use the threat of violence but don't actually resort to violence. More likely to serve time.

My brother got held at knifepoint once, so my brother took his tshirt off and said "if you're gonna stab me i dont wanna ruin my tshirt". This confused the fuck out of the guy, he didn't know what to do as he wasn't expecting my brother to be willing to get stabbed so he just ran away.

Sounds like my buddy's co-worker. He used to be a bartender at this pub owned by Hells Angels. This guy is a skinny fuck, like 110lbs... So he was waiting for the bus one late night and some guy held him up at gun point, asking to give him his wallet, watch, etc or else. Anyways, the co-worker told him that he had a nice gun, and he'd give him 50$ for it... the gunman agreed. LOL. Right after the co-worker gun-butt him in the face and took back his 50. lol. This was like 10 yrs ago in the East End here.

It was probably DJ Manny and Jurham. Good to hear you're okay. Yeah, an experience like that can shake you up for a few days. Just keep yourself busy with the tour and don't go over this in your mind more than, say, twenty times.

When I was younger we would walk through alleys to avoid the cops since it was after curfew. One time we ended up behind some guy with a knife and he was holding it like he was getting ready to stab someone. I was ready to piss myself and told my cousin we should prob turn around but she just kept walking. He kneeled down beside a car in the alley and stabbed the tire and it made a loud hissing noise which made me scream. He turned around and said "She cheated" all nonchalant like that was the protocol when ppl cheat.
