I take all considerations into account, such as which animal can make that impossible jump, which animal can attack a small child and it still be considered "cute" rather than "vicious", which animal takes care of itself yet still provides class A entertainment.. and so on. Really I love both, I have two cats so it kinda means I lean towards the feline range but I've noticed everytime I am around peoples dog it stinks.. My cats don't have that problem.
My cat Loki has the most versatile personality of any animal I've ever known. He can be a complete sook, he drags around this little toy fish on a rope with a stick on the end whenever he feels lonely or just upset. I put him in "time out" once when he came out he walked to the middle of the room looked at me, when no attention was given he went and found his fish and dragged it to the middle of the room. He has nightly lap cat moments. He can be a complete psycho, running top speed around the house losing his grip on his back legs to the point he's running sideways. He loves chasing the red dot (without it becoming addictive like the dogs get, coz he's smart like that).. I realise this has been a long ass post about a cat but all the same, I like that cats can be assholes but in my experience you get a range of behaviours that keep it interesting..
