Girl...

I don't give a fuck about you. No, I'm not looking at you. I'm not undressing you with my eyes. I don't think about what you might look like naked. I would prefer it if you kept your clothes on. I'm not a rapist. I never touched a woman who didn't want me to. I don't think about what sex with you would be like. I don't want to know your name. I don't want to have anything to do with you. I don't want to go to prison for something I didn't do. I walk around you on the street. I purposely look away as soon as I see you. I don't want you to get the wrong idea and yell rape. At restaurants, I walk way around you with my hands at my sides, palms on my legs. I don't smile at you. I don't answer when you ask me something. I don't want you to say that I was sexually harassing you. I don't want you to have anything that could possibly be used against me in a court of law. I will never get married. I don't want to pay someone every month for the rest of my life. I don't trust you. I'm not your enemy. You have nothing to fear when I'm around. All I'll try to do is get away from you as quickly as possible. I am not your friend. You don't know me. You will never know me. Fuck you.

(Of course, this attitude has the opposite effect, and I can't keep them away.)

Actually, I'm not like that, and that's not quite the best way to not get fucked over as Eupha said, but my main point was, it's getting harder and harder for a guy to make contact with a girl in today's social environment without wondering if he's going to give offense or be accused of harassment. So it's almost as if a guy has to do all those silly extreme things I said in response. (It was intended as humor that might have some truth to it.)

Where the fuck do you go that your accused of harassment?
A Catholic Convent and a school for girls in Iran.

I've never been accused of it, but it is quite common in the workplace for the dumbest things. Sure, there is real harassment going on and it needs to be dealt with, but sometimes guys are accused for petty shit out of spite or jealousy. Like, I saw a guy give a girl a little gift at work, and other women reported him.

I've heard of a story in Boeing where a guy came up to a colleague, a woman in the office, and just put his hand on her shoulder and said "how are you, how's it going" and he was reported to HR by another person.

People go to work preoccupied with things other than business. This displays a serious lack of focus, and I am quick to point out other peoples flaws in their attitudes at/to work. People become preoccupied and become ignorant. It is not professional to get personally involved with colleagues. You do that, and you let down your defences. I believe social interactions in a business environment should be kept strictly professional. That is what gives me the edge over my other colleagues, and leaves me more viable for promotion. Not being preoccupied with other agendas other than business. I keep my mind on my money in situations like this. It makes me laugh when out of work, people try to talk about personal issues in the context of work. Talking out of context, again, points out flaws in focus and attitudes. It is not professional. I could give a fuck about what happens at work, social interactions etc. At the end of the day, whoever does their job the best is gonna bring home the most cash. Getting personal with people at work is something I dissuade.

There is a saying: 'Don't shit where you sleep, don't shit where you work either.'

To a certain extent, yes. But whoever is the most liked, esp. by the bosses, will usually get the most promotions. I've seen know-nothing girls giggle their way up the ladder.
