Forbes releases 2010 Billionaires List, who's on top?

PHOENIX - Forbes Magazine has just released the 2010 "Global Billionaires List," and there are some surprises this year.

For the third time in three years, the world has a new richest man.

According to Forbes, that man is Carlos Slim Helu. He's worth $53.5 billion.

The Mexican tycoon has a series of telecom holdings. Forbes claims his fortune has grown by $18.5 billion in the last 12 months.

Bill Gates comes in at #2 on the Forbes 2010 list, worth $53 billion.

Warren Buffett is #3 on the list, worth an estimated $47 billion.

According to Forbes, billionaires have an average net worth of $3.5 billion, up $500 million this year.

There are a total of 1,011 billionaires this year, up from 793 a year ago.

yeah, what a trivial thing to know.

I love it when some people in my country bring up how Bill Gates isn't the richest person to talk shit about how america is going down the gutter. It is, but NOT because we're losing rich people YOU IDIOTS.

Yeah, it's strange that some people were able to earn that much in a short amount of time. Especially "no names".
Well, the economic recession also served some guys well.

Eike Batista is a relatively young business man.
He bought several oil reserves and founded a lot of different Oil Companies, Energy Companies and bought shares in a lot of huge companies...

He was the guy who had the biggest growing compared to last years numbers
