Fake Members

Not sure if this has been discussed before...

So, not too long ago, Caesar or whatever his name is (does he even exist?) asked us to post more often in the Headlines section to give this place a more of a community presence.

Okay - I have been. Then I noticed that some members there do not even exist. No fucking profile, no posts outside of the Headlines. Isn't that total bullshit?

Who's can explain this to me?

They can post as guests and give themselves a name. They are not registered but can still leave a comment under any name they wish to.

I see, I actually got done logging out before posting a lame comment under the name Fag.

I thought for sure the reason why we were asked to post more often was because it would lure new members to sign up - kinda pointless if they can post without registering.

This is something I noticed while reading the Jimmy Iovine story where some douche posted a comment about his eyebrow using the name monobrow.

Seriously, I'm interested in the character aspect of the community. I guess I'll just stick to Our Block etc where I can read posts made by characters I know.

Puff is making a point here - registering does not equal to posting. That's absolutely right, but the thing is - there are people who come back to Headlines with the same alias and post in articles that we already have a thread for in StreeHop and StreetHop is dead. See my point?

I'm going to take Yeshua for example because name dropping is fun and I love The Game.

Yeshua joined this board because he loves Tupac and he's the kind that likes to share ideas, so his character expanded into other parts of the board. Love it or hate it, he adds flavor to the board. That expansion is missing when you use guest log-ins.
