Does anyone know what Pac's plans were for AFTER the Makaveli album? HELP

Why did One Nation never get released?
What were the tracks that have leaked from the project?
...because Amaru Records is run by idiots. The original plan was to release one One Nation album on Death Row and one on Duck Down, both with different songs but obviously featuring Pac, Outlawz, and Boot Camp with a variety of artists from around the country. After Pac's death, there was talk of releasing the first disc in 1999 and the second one in 2000, but obviously that never happened. Regarding Pac's unreleased material, the courts ruled that everything with Pac on it belongs to Afeni and Pac's Estate. Obviously there would be a good chance that the One Nation songs would end up being butchered with the Boot Camp vocals taken off (even though "Military Minds" is a miraculous exception). Supposedly Boot Camp had possession of most of the songs from the second One Nation album, but when asked to turn them over they claimed that the songs had been lost, even though they probably have them and just don't want to turn them over knowing that the songs will just be massacred. Some of the leaked songs were Military Minds (remixed and released on Better Dayz), Bitches/Worldwide Dime Piece, Let's Get It On/Let's Fight (Daz used this on his Don't Go 2 Sleep EP and 50 Cent used the verse for Realest Killaz), Get It On/Brothas At Arms, Thug Nigga, My Own Style, and Set It Off/One Nation Outro, there might be another one or two.

I've been looking through Better Days and UTEOT...I don't think Pac would have used any of those songs on any future releases he would have brought out....Letter 2 My Unborn (I'm almost sure about that one), Thug N U Thug N Me, Street Fame, maybe My Block are the only ones I think he might of dropped on future albums but it's doubtful and just my opinion. Remember Pac had the chance to use all of these for the Makaveli and didn't use them so I'm thinking they probably wouldn't have seen the light of day had he not passed.
What makes you think that? Remember that all of those songs were remixed for their retail releases. My Block was already released on The Show soundtrack from 1994-1995. It's not like he had the chance to use them for Makaveli, he recorded most of those 12 tracks specifically for the Makaveli album while most of the other songs were just songs he came up with while in the studio, even though some of them are from what Afeni called the "Makaveli era." The only song I remember being cut from Makaveli was Friends.

You said it. Pac recorded tracks specifically for albums. MATW. AEOM. MK7T. All the stuff that is recorded in between those periods were unreleased with a few exceptions..soundtrack contributions etc...he was recording songs specifically for One Nation as well. I'm sure he wouldn't have gone over his catalogue and released songs that he thought were not good enough to get on the Makaveli album.

As for Fame...call it a hunch. I don't think dude would have mentioned it on the Gang Related interview had he not planned for it to drop....its called building anticipation and it even worked when Better Dayz came out.

I see your point, but I'm not sure if I would agree that anticipation was Pac's motivation to mention songs in interviews. I think that he was just talking about his views on how we all want to be loved, and it somehow connected to the movie, even though I don't recall his exact words. And in another interview with Sway, he mentioned "When We Ride on Our Enemies" but it wasn't to promote the song or build anticipation for it, it was just mentioned because Sway asked Pac about Mobb Deep, and he mentioned to song to elaborate on how he feels about them.

Can I just ask because I'm curious and you seem well informed...what do you think would have happened after the Makaveli album up until this day? like break me down a fantasy timeline of what Pac would of done from 96' to 05'. I know its damn near impossible to be correct but I'm interested, I know you can't base it on factual evidence but it's your opinion.

Honestly my guess would be as good as anybody's... well maybe not anybody's, seeing that there are a lot of idiots on this board, but you know what I mean. If Pac would've never been dumped on in Vegas (as if he never went), this is what I think would've happened, if Pac had his way after Makaveli:

* VHS release of the All Eyez on Me music videos (with all the videos we know about, plus the three-verse solo version of All About U and videos for Ambitionz Az a Ridah and All Eyez on Me since he had interested in making them)
* Completion of the Made Niggaz short film
* Release of Gridlock'd soundtrack(s) as he intended: one with one or two Death Row artists and some alternative rock songs (some of which were used in the actual movie), and one with all hip-hop artists, mostly Death Row
* Official launch of Makaveli Records (a subsidiary of Euphanasia), possibly still connected to Death Row
* Start of Klockwork Productions (with Johnny J) and 24/7 (with Tracy)
* Completion of One Nation album and virtual end of any East/West beef as a whole, even though he would definitely still have problems with Bad Boy, Mobb Deep, etc.
* Completion of Outlawz album (with Fatal) and release under Makaveli Records
* Release of Pac's reply to Mobb Deep's "Drop a Gem on 'Em" and underground Chino XL freestyles as B-sides to One Nation singles or Outlawz singles
* Release of Pac's "all clean, all positive" album
* Opening and funding of several community centers (since Pac wanted to do that, plus he said that everytime Makaveli went platinum, he would donate money)
* Filming of Baby Boy (since I remember hearing that Pac was originally supposed to play the lead role, then Singleton stashed it until he met Tyrese)
* Conceptualization of Live 2 Tell
* Increased involvement as a political figure; not necessarily with a position (mayor, governor, etc.) but as a well-known activist
* Completely matured, unbelievable Pac style involving his political side (as seen in his 2Pacalyse Now lyrics) with his improved lyricism seen on Makaveli and beyond (especially on "First 2 Bomb")

I'm getting a headache at this point, there is just so much stuff that Pac was going to do. Oh yeah, you need to factor in some confrontation with the New York guys he dissed on "Against All Odds" (King Tut, Hatian Jack, Jimmy Henchmen). Tut at least would've wanted to send Pac a "message" all the way from the East Coast for that line.

I'm just posting this because I'm curious about what Pac planned to do after the Makaveli album dropped. I'm really interested in discussion about what he would have done after the album up until this day, what I know thus far is well known to most people:

*He planned to cultivate acts for his own label.
*Drop an album once every four to five years (doubtful this would have happened, even if it was his intention)
*Euphanasia

When Pac was alive he must have talked to people about what he could envisage for the future even if it wasn't made public or common knowledge. I wonder if he had a set plan with album titles and releases etc...personally I get the distinct impression he was actually planning to release an album with the title 'Better Days' but can't say for certain.

In this thread, lets discuss what his plans were (if anybody knows) AND....I don't want this to turn into a lame topic like "Yeah, if Pac was here now Ja Rule would get punked" or "He would be on Aftermath" etc...

BUMP.

this cd would be a great start to what you are looking for about pac and his plans

*Would've played the LL Cool J part of Darryl in "Woo" (1998)
*Would've signed Greg Nyce to Amaru Entertainment, and executive produced a Greg Nyce album.
*Same as above: with Big Syke. (Thug Life Volume 2 -Macado & Rated R)
*Retaliate at the Las Vegas shooters ()

Its weird to think that if Pac had survived Suge would of still gone to prison for violating his conditions....do you think Pac would of jumped ship or run Deathrow? I think he would of kept things locked down at DR until Suge got home, I also think Snoop would of been kept on the label with everyone else....Tha Row wasn't a sinking ship, it was only after September 96' that things got fucked up.

Very well put together. To add on to your final comments. On Pac's "realist song" ever, he basically declared WAR on his enemies. Not only the industry dudes, but the street dudes as well. It's kinda ironic that the Tut's reappearance into the public eye on happened a couple of years ago (a lot of people thought he was dead), and the current interview with Jimmy Henchmen in Vibe magazine. Pac was preparing for death, in a way. Going to war with these street dudes was not going to be without casualites. Like Pac said "I'll probably be murdered for the shit I said, I'll be legend, breathin or dead."

But who really knows, how these guys would have reacted? Would Pac have to travel around with tons of bodyguards and bulletproof cars like 50 Cent, Snoop and other rappers had to do. Who knows. Hopefully, all the positive things you listed above would have come to pass, instead of all the violence.

Tupac was truly complex, who knows what direction he would have gone. We, as fans, can play the "What If..." game forever. He truly unpredictable. Who would have thought he would have rushed a gang member? That was suicide. He was way to smart to doing dumb shit like that.

Peace

For everyone mentioning Amaru Records, there would have been no Amaru Records, 'Pac did not start Amaru Records, 'Pac has no plan on starting Amaru Records.
