DMX speaking on Pac?

#1
Found this on Contactmusic.com:

Many have called DMX, or Dark Man X, the next coming of the slain Tupac Shakur, though asking him to comment on this will bring this angry response "I say they don't know what the f**k they are talking about. And when people say I'm the second Pac, I'm not, I'm the first X." That being said, Earl Simmons (DMX's real name) has said of Tupac "I think Tupac was a strong-minded black man, and that's what America fears." Nevertheless, perhaps the real reason people flock to DMX is because the man is real, not a multi-million dollar record executive dressed like a rapper (listening Puffy?) to which he apparently agrees, saying "I'm real. And people like real. I haven't crossed them yet, I haven't been on no fake sh*t yet, no bullsh*t yet. And they feel my sh*t. People like a real person."

Does anyone have the audio/video of him talking about Pac, or any info on when he said this?

man fuck that shit... X was right he just said it wrong... he knows if he's compared to pac he has little chance of being better
Still DMX should show some respect 4 Pac.. He wouldnt be runing hes mouth like that if the man him self were still here. Think it was Kurupt who pointed a gun at DMX few years back cause of DMX's big mouth.

people are basically saying that Pac's better than DMX when they ask him these types of questions...no surprise he's getting all pissed off. He knows Pac's better, he doesnt want people reminding him.

I don't think Kurupt pointed a gun at DMX. Remember, it was one of Kurupt's bodyguards or whatever that got killed when they were beefing, then Kurupt wanted to squash it.

before that...DMX fucked Foxy Brown when she was dealing with Kurupt, also, x did a track with foxy called "a fox and a dog" (or vice versa) and aparently it was Kurupt's idea and concept for the track. Then something happened between Kurupt and x whatever whatever, cant recall what, then they squashed it.

I'm well aware of that. Here is the sequence of events:

* Foxy and DMX record "A Dog and a Fox" for her album Chyna Doll
* Foxy and DMX allegedly fuck during the recording
* Word gets around, Kurupt gets pissed
* Kurupt makes the beef public by putting out "Callin Out Names" (weak diss in my opinion) on his album Tha Streetz Iz a Mutha
* One of Kurupt's bodyguards gets killed (I think in New York)
* Kurupt decides to squash his beef with DMX and also with Ja Rule

And Kurupt was trying to be Pac when beefing with DMX. By that, I clearly remember reading a short interview that Entertainment Weekly did with him, and he said he was "the closest thing to a Pac" and also said--and I quote this from memory but it is almost verbatim--"It's not about East or West; it's about niggas and bitches, power and money, pistols and punks." Does that sound familiar? (Hint: Makaveli intro, minus a word or two.)

I can't image what the reaction from everyone would be like if they ever did a song together or if DMX ended up on a remix on a pac album.

Actually it might have been Daz. And im not saying this is a fact or anything cause i saw this on this one hiphop forum 3-4 years ago. This one guy told the story and few guys said "Yeah i heard that too". But who knows and who cares..

i remember x had 2pac on his top tep music vid special on mtv or bet.

ppl r still forgetting DMX is a crack head. U cant take shyt he says too far.
yep. on dmx's top 20 favorite videos that aired on BET he had 4-5 pac videos in it and dmx gave pac mad props. dmx is not a 2pac biter but anybody who can't see that he was influenced by pac is majorly blind. the whole "im crazy but deep too" image is all pac. dmx was full of shit when he claimed he had never ever listened to pacs music but then had 5 pac videos as his top 20 of all time. everybody knows his problems with crack and that probably has to do with his constantly changing opionions. peace
