Divine Intervention

I have escaped serious injury twice in as many weeks. Mountain bike vs car vehicle. The first instance was a blind corner, I didn't stop to give way, I didn't see the car for the bushes on the corner - result = bad junction.

The second instance, I was approaching a Tucan crossing on a corner. I checked the lights they were on green for me, I knew a car was approaching the lights, and he didn't stop for the red given to him! Lucky for me I went from the cyclists path to the pedestrians path to the left of me as so to cut a corner, that probably saved me serious injury. as I didn't venture into a 90 degree angle turn over the crossing. the driver probably thought I was following the cycle path and didnt intend to cross. he got my fucking curses and his vehicle ended up mounting the kerb. I took note of the lights, why didnt he? I could have easily been seriouly injured. It was over in a moment, lucky for me I was in the right the second time. I really feel that I have been touched by the hand of God, and have experienced devine intervention. I dont know how that car didn't hit me because he had no intention at stopping at the red light. probably thought I would continue round the corner. wish i got his number now. i feel like I have survived suicide and homicide, immortal outlaw like

it's called luck. a lot of shit in the world happens and there are over 6 billion people for shit to happen to. the fact is, it's luck.

I was about to correct you, and point out that it's called a Pelican crossing. I had no idea there was actually such a thing as a Toucan crossing. I was about to hit "Submit Reply" when I decided to look up Toucan crossing on Wikipedia.

I could easily have looked like a fool. I truly believe this was divine intervention. God sent me to Wikipedia to stop me from embarrassing myself.
