Why did they release the version that appeared on the album ahead of the OG?.The OG is far better. Was there a problem clearing the sample or sumthin?

interscope dilluted the thug life album down to achieve a less hardcore sound in the wake of cop killer and the rejection of gangsta rap in mainstream outlets.

I know it was filtered down. But why not use Cradle 2 The Grave with the original beat.?Its a much better beat than the one that was released.

He already answered your question, the original beat sounded too hardcore. The retail on the other hand sounds more laid back.

i disagree. anyway, look at the hooks. the lp version has much more positive hooks than the prof jay and syke mix.

Album Version:
From Tha Cradle 2 Tha Grave, life ain't never been easy, livin' in the ghetto

OG Version:
Things wouldn't be so bad-if we got tha things that we never had

Both of them are kind of depressing and sad to me. Still, I didn't see a reason to redo the beat and the hook
