Couple get married at 7-year-old son’s funeral

BUFFALO, N.Y. - The parents of a 7-year-old boy who died after an upstate New York car crash have fulfilled his wish that they get married, and they did it at the child's funeral.

Amilcar Hill and Rahwa Ghirmatizion got married during Monday's funeral service in Buffalo for their son, Asa Hill. Asa died a day after his grandfather's car was involved a chain-reaction highway crash last week.

Hundreds of people packed the church for Asa's funeral. The couple surprised attendees by getting married, which the parents say their son had been asking them to do.

Amilcar Hill says Asa's organs were being donated to save other young lives.
My intitial response to this was me saying What The Fuck?! But I read the story and it seems pretty genuine and sincere. I'm still torn. The funeral is supposed to be for some remeberance of the child. A wedding at the funeral takes away from that, even if it is in(4 two letter words in a row, weird lol) honor of the son. Imagine if you were a guest at the funeral/wedding, i'd be shocked lol. So I don't know, one shoulder says hey how nice the other says crazy people but I think I'm getting soft cus this is kind of nice. What's your feeling on this?

I hope the organs save some cancer kid too, that'd be cool if we heard about that later down the road.

Also, just for stereotypes sake, I expected these people to be white lmao.

i thought it was kinda dope when i read it last night.

it reminds me of how they do the funerals down in new orleans. so it kind about celebrating the life of the person and not mourning the death

bah they could have done the wedding a couple of weeks later you know... but it's nice they did that for the kid. hopefully it won't end up by a divorce

If the kid said it, it doesn't mean it had to be @ the actual funeral...but, hopefully they stay married and live happily.

That's a very strange surname out there and I don't expect them to be white.

Come to think of it I don't even know how to spell it.
When I read the headline dummy lol. When you click on the article there is a picture of the couple, so when I first read the headline I thoughtthey'd be white
