there are 2 kinds of people in this world. there are those who stick up for themselves, and those who dont. i see some people who will speak out when something bothers them, and those who don't say anything, and quietly accept the situation.

let's say youre in a queue somewhere, and somebody pushes in. ive seen people who dont say shit, and just let it be. then ive seen others whove been like "ay, get to the back of the line".

youre in a movie, and people in front of you are being rowdy. are you the type to say something or will you just quietly accept it?

i guess what im trying to say is, that there isnt a balance of power. you see it daily, even in the most insignificant situations. you see that there is always an 'oppressor' and 'oppressed'. then there are those few who dont take peoples shit, and fight it, and stand up for themselves.

Some years ago i was one of the guys who didnt say shit in situations you have explained. Today its more likely im going to tell those guys to shut their mouth and behave like civilized people.

the movie thing actually reminds me.

i was in the movies watching i am legend, and everyone in the movie theater was black exept me and a couple of my friends. now please don't take this the wrong way, i have no problem with black people, and i don't wish to stereotype them. anyways it was like a fuckin party in there. in the back there was kids playing young jeezy really loud all during the movie, and some black women shaking their asses in the front. and atleast half of the movie theatre were dicking around and yelling, jumping, etc. lol it was crazy. i felt so out of place :(

(and yes i was a pussy to stand up and say something) i remember when we were leavin we heard some people sayin "oh shit, dem white niggaz urr scurrrred cuhhh"

Reminds me of Chris Rock - Niggas Vs Black People;
Cant go to a movie the first week it comes out
Why? cause niggas are shooting at the screen
What kind of ignorant shit is that
"Hay this is a good movie, this is so good i gotta bust a cap in here"

I stick up for myself, my family and the people that i care about. There are days where i wish i would've said things differently then they came out, and then there are days where i wished i wouldn't have said anything at all.

I have a problem dealing with confrontation. Sometimes I say too much to a person just for the cause of sticking up for myself and that might make the other person feel even worse then that person made me feel.

It's better to feel like a man then to feel like a bitch. Better said then left alone (sometimes).

There are times where I didn't say anything, and then I wonder why I didn't, and the easiest thing i could ever tell myself was that i didn't want to hurt that persons feelings, but the obvious truth is that i was afraid to say what i wanted to.

A friend of mine taught me that people make a lot of excuses, do I make excuses? Yeah I do, but after hearing what he told me I decided to look for the real reasons why I do things when I do them, what I say and how i say it.

I'm in control of my life, so if I don't say what I want to say then I'll be the one losing out.

I'm more likely to stick up for other ppl than myself.

If someone got in front of me...I'd just walk back in front of them...they'd still be ahead but not ahead of me.

If someone is aggravating me I'll usually try to kill them with kindness. You can usually get what you want if you say it in a nice way

If not...force works too. But it's usually never that serious that force is needed.

depending on the situation i'll most probably stick up for myself. the times i dont do it is because i know it will result in only more shit which i don't feel to deal with unnecessarily.
