Who hear collects/reads them?

Personally, I don't, just wanting to see who does?

There is this one guy @ my work. When you talk to him, that is ALL he talks about. Nothing else.

Just comics, and movies about comics.

Comics aren't that addicting, are they?

I only read the Watchmen comic/graphic book and I didn't even go to see the film. I was never a fan of comic books and I wasn't a big fan of cartoons either as a kid. I always found the lack of realism unappealing.

I've read my share of comics, not all of them. Some of them are very fun reads. Ghost Rider specifically is awesome.

I don't really read them now, but I kinda have a background on most marvel comics, and their story lines.

I'd kill your co-worker though.

As a kid I collected Marvel Comics and some DC Comics. I had a very decent amount but they're in Dutch so they're useless to me now (I hate reading in Dutch). More recently I started collecting Buffy/Angel comics since they're a canonical continuation of the series. I've also started reading The Sandman by Neil Gaiman, which is really good.

As a kid I did read a lot of comics, but not American comics. Most European comics are from Belgium, Tin-tin, Suske en Wiske, Asterix & Obelix etc. I read a lot of those. Good stuff. I loved airplane comics too. Biggles, Buck Danny.

i bought Marvel comics for a while. I still have them, about a dozen or so, not many.

X-men, and Wolverine and Gambit - before they changed it to Wolverine and Deadpool.

I read numerous novels too based around comic characters, and they were often better story-wise than the comics were. i used to like drawing comic book characters.

proper comic books are like proper books, containing entire episodes/series. also have some manga comic books.

I never really read comics, but I did have a phase where I collected them.

I have signed Spiderman comics by Stan Lee, John Romita Jr and a few others.. I also have a start wars comic signed by David Prowse.

They are all at home in a safe 30ft underground and will hopefully be worth millions in the next 10 years

The whole 'collector' phenomena is beyond any craze that I've seen. When I read the Marvel or DC Comics, what appeals to me the most is the art work. I'll always be a fan of Spiderman. That's a comic book I'll always take time to read if I find it. To be able to captivate a story in animation is pretty cool, considering the attention to detail. I guess computers have taken over these days, which eliminates the need to have everything drawn up by hand.

I was never into the whole comic book collection thing but, I do enjoy reading them. Back then, I used to read Tintin. Asterix came up once in a while but, that was not too interesting for me. Superman as a movie should be the coolest action movie anyone could watch. Unfortunately 'Superman Returns' just didn't work for me. I'm glad they are re-booting the franchise. I'm also looking forward to the Tintin live action movie which should be out some time soon.
