Car accidents.

Hmm just been involved in my first car accident. It isn't really a great feeling...You see everything in slow motion but you can''t actually do anything about cause in reality it is happening so fast.

Anyway i was going through an intersection and another driver ran a red light. The driver hit me in the drivers side, it wasn't that serious however the impact pushed wheel under the car so i couldn't drive it. I smashed my head on the window, but no one else was hurt. The messed situation is the other driver was an old lady. I was obviously angry with her and had a go at her not realilzing her age. Anyway after comming out of shook i imediatley apologized and made sure she was alright.

Now the fucked up situation was everyone went to comfort the lady and obviously saw that i was being teh aggressive person and took her side. Now they are claiming i ran the red light. They are willing to be witnesses for something that never happened. I recieved a phone call from the police about an hour ago saying i will be recieving a fine for running the light. Now i have witneses on my side who came over to the car and told me she fucked up. Now after getting their number and cards, the police left messages on there phones. They didn't talk to all the witnesses. It is ridiculously obvious how much the police are taking her side. The two that filed the report automatically took the lady's side and after being unable to contact my witnesses they gave me the fine. I just wished i had been able to get more witnesses before they left but i though 3 was sufficient.

So now i have to pay my excess and let the old lady get away with smashing up my car

be positive, at least u are ok!
can't your insurance company do something about the problem with that woman? or I think u should get a lawyer, but it will be more expensive than paying the fine!

WHAT?! This is ridiculous. You can't let them do that. Go all the way if you have to. Go to court. Do what you need to do. If I was over 18, and I wasn't living with my parents, I'd do everything I could.

But no, I am 17 and I live with my parents. My parents would always do what's easier, and not necessarily what's right.

well when i got out of the car i was asking why she ran the red light... She said i thought it was green and i said no i had a green it couldn't have possibly been green. she proceeded to say ohh sorry i thought it was green. Fuck she even admitted she ran it. Now when i parked the car and began to call the cops i noticed she was being comforted by a group of people. Now a number of people had parked and gotten out of their cars because it is a busy intersection and had congretated around her car obviously making sure she was ok. Now all those people are the ones that she used as her witnesses.

Fuck this people these days suck.

Yeh i know i guess that's how teh world works. Yeh i guess its better that i am alright but it annoys the fuck outta me cause if i was 10 seconds earlier or later it would never have happened. There are so many things in my day that determined this accident.

Wow, that old lady is a fucking bitch. Too bad she wasn't injured.
Another funny thing is that an ambulance came to the scene... when the officers asked who was injured the people around the lady said just the woman. No one even bothered to see if i was alright.

My insurance will investigate the situation, however since they have the police charging me for "running a red light" i basically lose it automatically. I can only contest against the fine for running the red light but even then the insurance company may decide in favour of the lady since she has more witnesses. It aint worth the risk with the lawyer cause i will probally pay more for him than everything and i run the risk of losing.

Nope she is happy to have the car that they provide you with while your car is being fixed because according now to the insurance company "she is in the right"..

I want to take them to court but as i explained it would be too lengthy and costly, plus i just want my car back. It is already at least 2 weeks away haha if i took it to court i might not get it back for a year. Now that would be a real drainer. I will assess my options further tomorrow because it only happened about 5 hours ago.

That another thing, the police only toook about 1 hour to come to their conclusion. I rolled one officer who was trying to be on the lady's side. She was claiming that the people who were my witnesses could not have seen the lights. She was one of those bitches who thought she knew everything. Now i pointed three distinct lights that could have indicated that i had right of way. She payed llittle attention and was one of those righteous people who can't handle being wrong. I think i just got dealt a bad deal of cards. Fuck this.

Yeah, I know what you mean, everything feels slow, but yet it's because everything is so fast so you have no time to react.

Afterwards now when I think about the one I was in, damn, it was one hell of an adrenaline rush...
