So normally i buy my jerzeys from nfl.com or from the sports store at the mall. But while browsing ebay to see if i found some for a good prize i came upon some that were priced really good but the price seems too good. I mean they normally retail for $230-250 but these are for Buy It Now for $99. They look legit to me but they could be real good knock offs. So i was wondering if anybody on the board can spot anything bad about these that might indicate that they are fake. Link is below.

Looks legit don't know much about NFL jerseys but going by the comments that seller has had before and he has sold over 3,000 items I'd go for it.

Yea it looks legit but i've seen sellers on ebay that sell fake mixtapes and Pac cd's (literally cd-r's) and they have 99% rating with people praising his items. So the rating only really confirms to me that i will actually get the item in the mail haha.

I'd go for it, you're not losing anything by buying it. If it's legit, then you found a new and cheaper source to get jerseys from.....if not it was only $99 and you could just sell it on.

a friend of mine just purchased a jersey off Ebay in a similar situation. he won an auction for an authentic (but oddly, black) Welker Patriots jersey for just under $50. he hasn't recieved it yet (just won the auction last weekend) but i warned him that the price sounded way too good. i guess he'll find out in a week or 2 whether or not it's legit.

but i agree with Casey. go for it, and if it's not legit you can just sell it back on ebay and try to make your money back.

I say...if it's too good to be true then it probably is.

On the other hand if it looks real to you and to everyone else...who cares? It's not like h.s. nobody is gonna check your tag to make sure it's authentic.

looking at that Romo jersey, it's kinda strange. the tag says On Field, which are the replica jerseys, not the authentic jerseys. however the jersey appears to have the sewn on numbers and lettering of an authentic jersey. weird.

well i think it's more about the principle of the thing. if you order an authentic jersey you expect to get an authentic jersey. plus, no one else may know, but he would.

hey if all else fails DP, you can go for the pink Romo jersey Jessica Simpson was wearing at the game yesterday lol.

Well if you EXPECT to get an authentic jersey don't go to an online auction. Pretty simple. If you're trying to get a bargain price you're going to get a bargain item.

not necessarily. if i buy a Nike shirt on sale, i got a bargain on it, and it's still a Nike shirt. the point is that you expect to get what you paid for, whether it's online or at a store or wherever. obviously you're taking a risk anytime you order anything online from ebay, but i think you should still be able to expect to get what you ordered. if it says authentic, it should be authentic, no matter the price you're paying for it.

^You know what I'm getting at. If you bought a bargain Nike shirt it's because nobody wanted it.

You can't usually expect a great price on a great product. It's rare. If you do find a deal good for you.
You're right...you get what you pay for...and you have to ask yourself why this jersey is $150 cheaper than what it retails for. It's probably irregular or something...

i do know what you're getting at, but i didn't say i bought a bargain Nike shirt, i said if i got it on sale. especially during the holidays, everything is on sale, it doesn't mean nobody wants it. and there could be other reasons why it's selling so cheap. maybe the person running the auction owns a sporting goods store (a lot of the sellers with jerseys/sports memorabilia do) and he/she has too many of those particular jerseys, and wants to get rid of some of them at a lower price.

either way i do see your point, and chances are you're right. it's always a case of buyer beware when you see an item for sale at a price much lower than it should be. but i wouldn't assume that just because it is cheap there must be something wrong with it. so let's just agree to disagree on this topic, ok? :D

Devious is arguing for the sake of it...as always...and usually with girls...
i do argue for the sake of it sometimes, but only when i think i have a point. i also believe she's got a point which is why i'm dropping it. unlike a lot of people around here who will never concede that they are wrong, even when it's been proven that they are wrong (although there is no right or wrong in this, it's just a difference of opinion). and i don't just argue with girls, there's only one in particular i've been arguing with, and even in that regard we've been getting along ok. but i do love a good debate, got a problem with that? we can argue about it if you want...

Im probably gonna just stay away, if it's fake i dont wanna go thru the hassle of getting my money back or selling it etc. I will just stick to buying them from the nfl site, at least i know that im getting something legit. I was talking to Farzin last night and he said "the one in the picture looks real but how do you know thats the one you are going to get?" which is actually a really good point.

hey if all else fails DP, you can go for the pink Romo jersey Jessica Simpson was wearing at the game yesterday lol.
I think her presence at the game is the reason Romo was playing fuckin crappy yesterday. I blame the loss we had yesterday solely on her!!!
