Black & White

I hate the fact that people feel the need to distuingish other by race in the first place. People always say, 'the black man did this'. Why not just, 'the man did this'?

The uneven proportion of crimes, convictions & black people in jail. Rodney King?
That stuff has to do with the government does it not? But if you were talking about the government i would have to agree.

After seeing how serious some are taking this, I just thought that I might mention the fact that I don't believe black people have souls.

I don't believe caucasions, asians, hispanics or arabs have souls either.

Why do people assume we have souls?
It's just something you automatically assume exists. Even if you're not brought up religiously, you just believe in it by default. The idea of a soul is mentioned so much, independent of spiritual or religious beliefs. I don't believe in a soul either.

I was thinking about it the other day and I can't actually think of a single situation in which specifying race would be important. I can't think of any reason to have racial categories.

*EDIT* Ok, I supposed it's easier to pick someone out of a crowd if you know their skin colour. But that should just be on the same level as hair colour.

I wish we could just start again and not make such a big deal out of skin pigmentation.

100,000 thousand to 30,000 thousand years ago when our species the Homo Sapien - Sapien left Africa, we were by default very dark skinned for our own protection from the sun. As Homo Sapien-Sapien migrated north, our skin pigmentation changed in order to adapt to the northern enviroment, and less UV radiation from the sun. After all these years, the only thing that has changed is our skin pigmantation, our DNA was altered as well, in order to adapt to different climates. We're still the same species, nothing has changed. We're still pumping the same blood we pumped thousands of years ago. We're still assholes, murderers, and lovers, just like we were thousands of years ago. So from a scientific point of view, we do not differ. I think it's real funny and ironic how racists, no matter what color, hate their own species. Think about it, every KKK member has black roots! hahaha, they hate their own families. And yes, Jesus was NOT whtie. Jesus was an Arab, he was dark skinned. Moses was blacker than the blacks who live in the states. Learn your facts kids, it's fun!

Society changes our way of thinking, but it cannot change our roots, and the ability to survive.

Do you guys think we're the same? i mean ever since my so called friend said black people dont have souls, and i know it sounds stupid and isnt true, it kinda just stuck in my head and destroying me. :(
Dude don't let someone's ignorance effect you that way.

There is only ONE race the HUMAN RACE, scientests have proven there is not enough diffrence between Whites,Blacks,Arab,Asian,ETC... to qualify as individual Race. we are all ONE! yet we look diffrent, think house cats!

you're right...the UK is wayy more racially tolerant than the freekin UK. lol!

but seriously, how does the uk having more places of worship per person (not even sure if that is true) have ANYTHING to do with race relations? some of the most tolerant, caring, giving people are the biggest atheists i know. and more often than not, religion seperates people of different cultures, not bring them together.

EDIT: i know what u were trying to say...the uk has more mosques, temples, etc. i still dont know if thats the case, but if it is, i dont see why that inherently makes ppl from the uk more tolerant.

Because it shows how racially tolerant the UK is, and yes it is a fact. We are a Christian country but we let people express themselves and their religion freely. Obviously there is still a lot of racism here, as there is in any country. I'm afraid I considor the US as one of the more racist countries in the world, there always seems to be a problem with race relations, and the US were the world leaders in slavery. Which is weird, because the US also has the highest population of "wiggers" in the world.

Eveyone please re-read my post. I think you missed the point.

As far as the UK's Histroy... I wont even touch that. Because the UK's histroy is in part the cause of A LOT of the uncalled hatred in the world. If you think the UK has a leg-up on any one, you're kidding your self.

True the UK has a bad history. But they weren't racist, just nationalist. They hated (by hated I mean went to war and conquered) more or less every country worldwide. The English helped destroy (or build depends how you look at it), the world as it is today. They stole the US from the natives, Australia from the natives and colonised 50% of the world.
I'm not saying the UK just because I live here, I hate the UK and I'm looking at emigrating to the US or Australia, but if I was black I wouldn't be as I don't believe they are as racially tolerant there. I was speaking to a bloke I work with who is black, he holidayed in the US recently, he got fed up with all the white people calling him boy, and being treated like a second class citizen, he won't be back to the US.
