but any of the candidates could get assassinated...i think this might be a scare tactic.....
yes, but not all the candidates are black. scare tactic? to scare who from what?

it's called being a realist. there's never been a black president before, no one knows how "the people" will react. it's not unlikely that someone shoots him though.

I always thought John F. Kennedy was a white man. My mistake.
JFK was one incident in history. Do you know the motive behind his assassination?

The idea is that for every president assassination, there has to be a reason right. With JFK it likely had to do with his political agenda. Think for a minute. Obama is black. A lot of latino gang members are killing blacks in Cali right now to send a message (DP keeps me informed ;p) so what if Obama goes to cali, who knows, maybe they dislike the idea of a black PRESIDENT even MORE than the idea of an average black man. doesn't seem to far-fetched. the same goes for white supremacists.

but let's flip it around. you mean Obama has no more reason to be scared for his health than the other candidates, and you base this on what? You believe his increased security is a scare tactic, but when I asked you to scare who from what you don't respond to that question. So respond directly or live with losing this debate - to scare who from what?

and because JFK was white, you think that the other candidates would be in the same "danger"? are you being realistic right now Rahim?

^I would get a heart attack if I saw one of your posts with proof and factual support to your arguments.

Take a good look at the American History.
okay. blacks were originally brought in as slaves. they have been suppressed since they first set foot on american soil. even after they got their "rights", individuals still found a way to get at them. formally, black people are considered equal, but i doubt we're there yet, even in 2008. racism is a big part of the modern world.

since the dawn of america, there has never been a black president. jesse jackson became a candidate but never president. so your comparison is completely off base. there has never been a black president so one has never been shot. there has been several white presidents, and they have been shot. what's your point?

humans don't like change, and a black president is a big change. there will be a lot of people against that. present some proof to your arguments. give me some insight more than "look at american history", that's not an argument and it doesn't prove anything, other than that you are bad at debating lol.

That's what I did? Considering the American history the chances of a black president being assissinated are higher than a white president.

What was your point though? That a black president has never been assassinated in the US while a white president has? I'm sure that's not it since no one is that stupid so please tell me what you meant by "Take a good look at the American History."

Motives might be different, but the end result of an assassination is the same.

I didn't say that.

yes, but not all the candidates are black.
The candidates running are all in the same boat.

okay. i know that. lol.

yes you did. you said any of the candidates could be assassinated, then said this is a scare tactic (something you still didn't elaborate on - to scare who from what?)

The candidates running are all in the same boat.
no they are not. they are all white, except for obama. he is black. that puts him in a very little boat of his own, sadly. how can you deny this? why do you think it is that there has never been a black president? the american people have not wanted it. just because some of them do this time around doesn't mean all of them feel the same.

The results of playing in traffic on the highway and being hit by lightning also have the same result but I think the chances of dying from a lightning bolt are slightly lower.

America might not be ready for a black president, but they are even less ready for a female president. All I gotta say is that Americans are racist and discriminative (sp?).

To prove what I was trying to say, I have written out some questions for you all to think about. These questions are all in the same context of my points:

What is the sole purpose of a scare-tactic?

How can an assassination be used as a scare-tactic in a presidency election?

Do you have to be a black candidate while your running for presidency to be threatened by a scare-tactic?

Think about it. When your done answering, take a nap.
