Yeah someone suggested something along those lines to me today. I don't know this kid all that well. He's the roommate of one of my friends who I've chilled with a couple times and he seemed cool. I called him yesterday just to go over what occurred (sober) and he said my version of the story is pretty much what happened.
I asked him just what was it that he said to those girls when he walked over. He said one of the girls (the one that didn't hit me) had car keys in her hand. So he went up to her and said, "I hope you're not driving" and the father interjected and said, "That's none of your business. Keep walking"
Then my friend said something like 'fuck off' and that's what set this whole thing off since we walked in together, i got dragged into it.
I think that i made a right decision that night and a wrong one. I think that it was good I didn't engage in any kind of altercation. However, I could have handled the situation better. Instead of cursing back at those idiots, I could have merely walked away and out of the shop.
But there were a couple reasons why I didn't do that. Firstly, I was drunk and more upset than I would have been if I was sober. Secondly, in situations like these, I have a strong curiosity to find out just exactly what is going on. And lastly, I hate being blamed for things that I don't do. It's a huge pet peeve of mine. If I do something wrong, I'll be the first to own up to it and apologize. But when I'm being cussed and threatened for no reason at all, it really hits my nerves.
