50 Cent Producing 2pac's New Album

#21
i think that single artists or camps should not solely produce 2pac's last album. i think that there should be diversity with producers 2pac worked with and more up-to-date producers to build a 2pac masterpiece. I think this was the problem with loyal to the game. I think with the expect of a couple of songs, the only songs people liked were the bonus tracks.

exactly, if this happens they might as well add Pac to the G-Unit roster.

This is one of the reasons why they should of stopped releasing pac's music after the resurrection soundtrack. Eminem didnt do a good job and I dont expect 50 to do one either...it will just be a g-unit showpiece im afraid.

I am in disbelief at the pro active response towards this gobshites comments. Free Tupac board get a fucking grip of yourselves! Yous sound like a group of gold digging groupie bitches!!! Fuck album sales and club bangers and being aligned with the same crew as Mobb Deep! Keep it fucking real, thats what I thought this board was all about!!! Fuck me! Its trning into the fucking D12WORLD message board!
Agreed, Some of these people should take a look at their post, its shocking.....Fuck album sales and club bangers...DAMN!!!....I want the real sounding Pac. Who of you does not dig up your old pac cds and bump them. Each time pac comes out he goes platinum, so no matter how wack it is its going to sell platinum. So my thought is, fuck trying to make Pac's music sound like the "today's" music (new instrumentals)..take it back to that time before Pac died....either way.....with Pac's name behind it, you are gurrantteed a platinum album...Damn people!!! I freaken disapointed in your support of this.....I just want a good Pac album, true to his style,,,f**k all the marketing sh*T!!!!!!!

DAMN!!

50 cent made some good point. I think every album after Makaveli where weak albums. When it came to promotion I fount out about 2pac & Outlawz album months after it first released.

p.s Maybe 50cent doing this to get a unreleased diss track that 2pac made toward Nas

some of you guys are confused as to what an executive producer does... executive producers don't necessairly produce tracks or appear on guest vocals. remember that suge was exec producer on all the death row albums and he never appeared anywhere. it's therefore possible that 50 will be more of a projetc manager than a producer of instrumentals.

that being said, he'll probably appear on a track or two, but is that really a surprise? people never seem to bitch about TI being on a pac song, and it's clear that the amaru recipe is to put industry favored artists on pac albums to draw on their fanbases. we know the outlawz will remove syke and napo, and we know that an album of og's ain't happening, so it's not a shock who's name they drop on there - it's not going to be someone pac even knew either way...

that all being said, until there's confirmation i'm not going to get drawn into the chaos conspiracy theory mumbo jumbo. 50 said he'd like to, which doesn't mean he will or is. what this really means, that a lot of you guys are missing out on, is bad news though... they haven't started the album. if they're still looking for an exec producer, that's a very bad sign. four months till september - are we going to get an album produced in one day this time?

you can never please an online 2pac fan, but this isn't even coming remotely close.

I guess that we'll see Realest Killaz Part 2. Amaru lost compass long ago. This didn't suprise me at all. Supposedly, some kids will have nice intoduction to Pac's music when they get in touch with it for the first time. :)

# 50 mentioned a joint venture with Amaru. It made me think, Amaru must be reaching out for help to produce the album as of now which says to me that production has not begun as of yet. Which is bad.
Thats what Im sayin Dante, Amaru is run by a shower of shit! Get your acts together for fucks sake!!

the problem is that the tasf is afeni's primary focus of energy, so the music suffers. projects are thrown together quickly instead of being given the 6 months to a year of work that they deserve.

i understand that she's focused on social concerns, and i respect that, but she needs to put someone in creative control who actually is in touch with pac's music. i would totally dig a johnny j produced album but that's not going to happen because of his monetary demands. as it stands now we have alcoholic katari, his power hungry sister, an entertainment lawyer who plays in a metal band on the side, and a fatass who thinks his career is already legendary.

Mark my words, I guarantee an authentic 2pac album. I'll make a better album than All Eyez On Me and Makaveli and this is a guarantee. If Pac is with me on G-Unit I guarantee diamond status on every album because I would put out some of the best music of his life. All his mom needs is a promoter like me to do all the work and she can kick back."
Will Amaru take 50s bate...? 50s ideas seems like good 1s but fuck could u imagine the cynical side of this? We’ll end up having “Play Ya cards right” feat Yayo, “Toung Kissing” feat Olivia lol or even “Untouchable” feat GGGG unit..

But we cant rule out that it could turn out good with the “excellent” promotion 50 promises and an authentic 2pac album.. Who the fuck knows, Amaru doesn’t care u can tell by their last efforts… 50 will most likely end up doing it. Be prepared.:fury:

i am tired of talk like that becouse dre dont have any good beats in a while, dre was good in early 90's to 96-98 but now? i dont like his beats but that is only my opinion
I try to not shit on people's opinions, but are you serious? Don't let the shit he does on Eminem's albums fool you, his beats are still tight. His contributions to 50 Cent, G-Unit, Game, Eve, Jay-Z, and Busta Rhymes have all been solid beats that helped the album move more units through a popular Dre-produced single.

I think what Pac fans need to realize is that, as Dante said, the album hasn't even began its development. I seriously doubt that they've even picked which tracks to use. That leaves them four months to complete the project before the release date. Obviously Amaru is too underhanded to complete an entire album. It's only right that they drop an album ten years to Pac's demise, and there aren't too many individuals in the music industry with the energy and pull to do it within the given timeframe to meet a September release. However, 50 is one of those individuals who has the bankroll, resources, and influence to get it done.

Don't get me wrong, I really hate G-Unit as artists, but as a Pac fan, I want my music, and I'm tired of Amaru Records affiliates fumbling it almost every time with the overabundance of shitty new-age Outlawz verses replacing older artists (Fatal, Syke, Napoleon, Storm, Mopreme, Kokane, Spice-1, Daz, Kurupt, etc.), crappy E.D.I./WeGotKidz beats, random rapper appearances (Trick Daddy, T.I., EMINEM). I'm pretty willing to give this a shot as a listener, the idea had never crossed my mind but I admit that it has really intrigued me. 50 put out Mobb Deep's album in a couple months, so you figure he can do as good if not better in the same timeframe but with already recorded Pac vocals. Yes, the Mobb Deep album sucked, but because Mobb Deep isn't as good anymore, not because of the label. All I know is that Amaru is no longer capable of putting out quality Pac releases since they have rally monkeys with too much power over the projects and have burned too many bridges with Pac's past collaborators leading to artists bitter at the removal of their own legitimate verses with arguably the greatest rapper of all time.

I totally agree that an album solely produced by one camp might not be the greatest, but 50's camp is extensive, with access to numerous producers. It's not like Nu-Mixx and Loyal to the Game where there is basically ONE producer doing the bulk of the songs. Hate my opinion if you want, but we have no other options left, especially if you all want an album by the ten year anniversary of Pac's death.

To be fully honest, I would consider what he wants to do. So long as 50 isn't on anymore than a couple tracks and the rest of g-unit is left off (which is probably the most difficult part,) I wouldn't mind 50 being an executive-producer. The guy knows how to sell records and his business minded character could probably do this album some good. Problem is that I don't want Pac's legacy to end up depending on fucking g-unit. If someone can step in and help put out this album with the thoughts 50 had in mind, it'd most likely be a success.
if this is true, the INTERESTING, part is that the 'executive producer' of his last effort, was his BOSS, EM ----- AND THAT WAS A FCK UP

the only other person i would like to see handle it would be dr. dre, but i don't think he wants any part of it now or ever..............

SO I KINDA agree fitty would be good as a business decision like he did for the realest killers collabo (WHICH WAS A DOPE SONG ORIGINALLY, but he DID get exposure that didn't come from cats who already heard the original but FROM the TRL/106 & PARK CROWD), , which was produced by red spyda (does anybody know whats up with homie???????he is/was a DOPE PRODUCER)

BUT i'm hesitant because of WHAT HE DID TO THE loyal to the game track with g-unit on it...........if he doesn't PLASTER g-unit artists ALL OVER THE SONGS than i'm for it

lmao...gotta say he is more than right, but still i dont wanna see that queer ass on a pac album again, only thing i agree is him throwing up his millions to promote the album but i dont wanna see him neither gay unit on any track anymore, nore producing any beat.

tha realist killaz is wack, and never will he ever produce a better album than makaveli.

can't blame him. dre has the luxury of carefully selecting his projects, and he's smart enough to know that no matter what, producing a 2pac album will probably bring more heat than praise. i think his focus is on new blood more anyway ever since he left nwa.

pac has dozens of songs that will reach the levels of changes and cali love if done peoperly. 2pac doesn't need to ride the coattails of anyone so long as his music is done properly. ever rapper begs to have a song made with them and 2pac, so why is it that suddenly we NEED these people to sell a product? there is some heavy misperception at the helm.

it is what it is. it was a mixtape track that afeni liked enough to put out retail. as a mixtape track it's dope, but as an album track it's not what it should be.

yep. that album had a lot more tracks to choose from, but amaru is force feeding the public the thug angel image of pac. god forbid they actually put a song like street fame (amazing remix) out as a video and bring pac's edge back to his image (pac said rap for the bitches, and the fellas will buy it, but in 2000 that switched back to rapping for the fellas). likewise, how is it that i could make a video montage for 5 minutes of new and dope footage that is relevant and video-friendly, yet amaru seems intent on somber videos that are completely irrelevant to the content of the song. i could interchange thr audio tracks of the thugz mansion, letter 2 my unborn, and ghetto gospel videos and you'd never know i did it if you hadn't seen them before.
