Wattup. I've been off the scene for a real long time but once again I'm back (ive been on and offline for long periods during the last 7-8 years). Anyway, I couldn't find Hitemup at first and was worried. Its a great relief to see that yall all are still kickin, I'm a big fan of this site.

Anyway I had a question that I was hoping to get different opinions and perceptions on: Do you agree that 2pac feverishly vented his own haunting preminition of death into the lyrics of his music in the later years?

Bear with me here Dante, your royal highness. I was actually hoping for more than one kind of response.

And I mean really come on, is it really that stupid of a question. Dante, come on. Its obvious that you are afriad of this line of questioning. Yes, you do believe that this man accurately prophesized his own time of death. Are you or are you not interested in what the rest of the world thinks about this concept? Well I guess you figure that if proven wrong you will come off as a raving pyscho and deservedly so. You have been fueling your delusion, by way of "internet props", for way too long.

No offense of course, its just that your opinion really is not valid without some line of reasoning to back it up with. Excuse the hell out of me for asking for fu**ing documentation. I'm interested in the reasons people may or may not beleive. And if 2pac did prophesize his own death, then why do you think he did this?

Pac never really prophesized his death, it's not like he knew when and where it would happen. You just have to think of where he came from. A lot of people in the ghetto don't live past their 30th birthday. And you also have to take into consideration that he was a black man in America who spoke his mind. He knew he would die young, but it's not as though he knew the date and time or anything if that's what you're getting at. He wasn't psychic.

Come on man, you asked a yes or no question which has an obvious answer. Basically, yes, I agree, and no line of reasoning is really necessary especially since "no" is the obviously wrong answer. Listen to his lyrics, look how wild his work ethic was. Watch his interviews, Afeni's interviews. It's pretty clear.

Please spare me this routine. It sounds nice but its just plain garbage. Devious, you believe 2pac knew he would die young because and i quote

" A lot of people in the ghetto don't live past their 30th birthday. And you also have to take into consideration that he was a black man in America who spoke his mind. "

First of all 2pac does not meet the requirements of the regular person in the ghetto not living past their 30th birthday. He was a rich and famous celebrity/entertainer.
Ok, I give credit where credit is due. Being black on a platform speaking his own mind is a very scary thing! But why didn't 2pac take more drastic measures to protect himself? If he indeed, was aware that he would die young, - Wouldn't he have attempted to stop it? Why would he declare war against the East Coast?

Until the age of 21, he was not a celebrity, he was a black man living in the ghetto. That's a long time to live with that mentality, and considering the way that people all around him were dropping, it had to have an effect on him. And look at the lifestyle he led, he was reckless. Listen to the album Me Against The World, that should tell you everything you need to know.

BUt why did he live such a reckless lifestyle? You make it out to seem like he's a victim of circumstance. Helpless to change. The facts show otherwise. His death was strange in that he brought it upon himself it would appear. Would u not agree?

Here's a quote by Caine from Menace II Society: "I've done too much to turn back, and I've done too much to go on." He couldn't just drop everything for the sake of living another day. He probably figured that it was his job since he started it, plus he knew that if he didn't do it, who would? I think that Pac took the drastic measures that he could take (bulletproof vest, bodyguards, etc.) while still "riding." I wouldn't really say that he declared war against the East Coast though. It started out small though, him getting at Biggie, then it just snowballed as it involved Junior M.A.F.I.A., Bad Boy, Mobb Deep, Chino XL, Jay-Z, Nas, and whoever else. But toward the end, Pac knew that it was getting too big so he tried to fix it by doing the One Nation album and talking about it in interviews, saying that it wasn't a West v. East thing and that he had a lot of love for the East Coast, it was just certain rappers who almost all were from there.
