Well the album leaked today but only the 12 track version. Im sure alot of you have already downloaded it. So post up your thoughts on the album here. I will post mine up when i have a chance to better listen to the album but so far from just skimming thru the tracks. It sounds like your basic remix album. Discuss

Very basic, at least they didn't destroy all of his classics... Eg. picture me rolling - they just changed the artists and didn't tear apart the beat... same goes wth starin through my rearview. ALot of Fatal appearences and it's justfied because kills it on every track. Wow he almost holds togther the album, (got my mind made up). I think alot of people will like the newer versions of intiated and keep going, but they are few in between

on the flipside... they completly destroyed hail mary and how do you want it. A rock mix what the fuck?

The pain we all heard has a completely changed beat... in this case perhaps worse...

still undecided on whats your phone number and wanted dead or alive.

Alot of people are going to hate on this album... but keep in mind its better than anything deathrow has managed to put out since the seven day theory.

2/10 for unprofessionalism. This sounds like more of a bootleg from half of the songs (quality wise). Who hooked koch up with these pac acapellas? I don't think it was Amaru? First they started cutting out the OG's now theyre cutting off the unprofessionalism in these albums. What's next? A whole album with computer generated acapellas?

All this is acctually making me appreciate the Pac's Life album...It's not half as bad as this. cant wait to see what they do for volume 3.

I wouldn't go as far as calling Pac's Life better than this. Pac's Life was just horrible. The only real problem i have with this album after listening to it is Hail Mary...horrible just horrible. Another thing that bothers me is the looping of the instrumentals, i mean come on, Picture Me Rollin is so fuckin easy to recreate. I made a remake of it and it sounds identical to the released version. They could have gone just the extra little step and this album woulda sounded alot more professional. I wish they woulda left in Daz's verse on Got My Mind Made Up, from the clip that MrMak leaked a while back it sounded like Daz dropped some heat! Fatal of course shined on every track and only improved them. Maybe it's just me but some of the added instruments sounded too fruity to me, it sounds like they opened up fruity loops and added all the extra instruments and synths. Surprisingly i was actually enjoying How Do You Want It up until the chorus hit....it's nice that they used a different take though. Overall i would give the album a 5/10. Maybe the two extra Best Buy tracks will be better.

U serious Ra? Honestly I'm digging some of this more than PL.

I mean maybe it's just cos the songs that are changed the least were so dope to begin with, but Picture Me Rollin' is sick as hell, I'm feelin the new chords they put on top of the beat, and that old school zapp-ish synth topline that come in every now and then towards the end is dope. Hook is strong too. It's more chilled than the original, it's cool man.

Don't Stop is pretty tight IMO, the production on this is pretty dope, that shaker percussion is tight ;) Fatal is soundin hype on it. With the outlawz line up the way it is now, I'd rather Fatal was on the track than say Noble or EDI.

Whatz Ya Phone #...man they ruined it. I mean I'm probably biased about this one since the original sampled "777-9311" by The Time, written and produced by Prince (played every instrument on the track and did all backing vocals too....The Time was a Morris Day fronted project to allow Prince to release more material basically). 777-9311 is one of my favorite tracks by The Time, so I don't think any version of Whatz Ya Phone # was ever gonna sound better than the OG, but regardless it blows, beat is boring, chicks voices are grating. Ain't diggin this cut.

Starin At The World.....again this ain't far removed from the original so I'm obviously diggin 'it.

Hail Mary - rock mix. WTF. I'm a big rock music fan as should be pretty obvious, and trust me, speaking as a big rock fan, this blows ass. It sounds like whoever made it hasnt actually ever listened to any rock music. Fucking garbage.

Got My Mind Made Up - again, loving the production on this, the extra synth parts are pretty funky. Like Picture Me Rollin', a very similar but more chilled out version. Maaaan Fatal really came through on this, his killed it. Verse was fucking tight. Props to Fatal, you rippin it boy.

Wait, is this Noble that comes in afterwards? Noble did pretty good here as well. He sounds more focused than usual, tight verse again. Props to Noble. I think 'Pac would be proud of his mans and dem for coming through as tight as this. Kurupt rips it too. One of my favorite tracks on this CD so far.

Pain ft. Styles & Butch Cassidy.

I was ambivalent at first since I like the OG so much, but actually this a pretty dope remix. I like the distorted synths and the piano parts give it some depth. I like Butch Cassidy, he does pretty good hooks. I'm not a massive Styles P fan (don't like 'kiss much either but I always dug Sheek Louch), but his verse is OK here. Track could have done with being shorter, it drags a little towards the end IMO.

Lost Souls - fuck yeah, this is dope. Another one close to the original with additional dope production. Honestly this another tune I will always love, Pac is sooo on point on this tune, it's one of my favorite of his tunes, not to mention the sample on this one which is "Don't Disturb This Groove" by The System, is another old skool funk track that I love. I honestly wish they would have taken this approach with the Whatz Ya Phone # mixx, keeping the original Time sample and adding some new instrumentation to it. I dig that the Pac's vocals are mixed completely differently. Lovin this mix, it's bad ass. Diggin it on the real, this is the fuckin jam.

Wanted Dead or Alive and Initiated are pretty standard fare to me.

I dig the new mixx to How Do U Want It. It's pretty funky, it's got a funky and mellow vibe to it, it's cool to bump this one. I could do without the chorus though.

Second version of Picture Me Rollin with Outlawz, kinda unnecessary really. It's basically the original....but they took Syke's legendary verse off. How the fuck you gonna remove "I got keeyyyyyyyys comin from overseeeeeeeeeas"?

Outlawz didn't need to be on this one. And this shit didnt need to be on the album. Why did they cut up Pac's adlibs and have some of them repeat? Lame. Pac's adlibs are louder in the mix though, which is cool.

This album I think verges on the pretty good side of average, mostly because of the tracks that weren't really changed much. So it's not a massive achievement, but still, it's cool, I can bump some of these versions.

I'm suprised by level of Fatal's verses. First he did awesome thing on Pac's life saving whole album with his now legendary "Dumpin" verse as well as "Don't stop". Now he does few another great verses. Anyway overall this album>Pac's life. What'z ya phone # is better than OG IMO. This album shits all over NMK vol.1. Got my mind made up sounds great too. If they only made Meth and Red lay new verses.
And finally WOW at BCC being on Pac's track after.. 11years. Quite sad that beat doesn't fit Pac's flow at the beginning and whole song is quite boring. Buckshot sounds great there.

BUT.. Staring - chopped and screwed og, Hail Mary - omg no comments, how do u want it - boooring with bitches on the chorus --- those songs shouldn't be on this album

Pain.. average but I never liked the og anyway.
Lost souls - slightly touched, new Outlawz verses
Dead or alive - doesn't fit Pac's flow, chorus sucks

Overall considering they didn't fuck up any unheard I'd give it 7/10 as a remix album. Again Fatal's verses save the album. BCC presence and few nice beats like what's ya phone # seriously help it.

That's how it should be like - 2pac albums should come out in og form, remixes of those songs should be released on albums like nu mixxes. Plus it sucks to get sucky sucky remixes of unheards on albums like Pac's life or Loyal to the game, and then much better remix album like this one.

Hail Mary has the cpu generated pella.

What do you want elaborated? Millitant gave the song a pretty good run down.

It's a piece of shit. Amaru should be ashamed of themselves.

Except for Hail Mary, Initiated, and How Do You Want it, this is not bad at all. I enjoyed Keep Goin, Lost Souls, Picture me Rollin, Starin, Wanted Dead Or Alive, Pain, and GMMMU.
