just curious to know what peoples views on this are nowadays?
do you buy the Greg Kading murder rap theory or believe in another conspiracy behind these murders?
When i first read about the murder rap theory i pretty much accepted it. It is plausible of course. However as time went on and the more i read about it, i feel its far too convenient. It ties the whole thing up nicely for the LAPD and takes care of the massive lawsuit filed against the LAPD by Biggies estate i.e. The hit came from New York but your son wasnt involved and was wrongly killed in retaliation by the other side.
Keefe D is not a very credible witness imo. I feel he is working for Kading and once an informant, always an informant. who is to say that he wasnt working with the feds back in 1996 too?
The other issue i have with it is that it almost exactly mirrors the earlier theory published in that LA Times article back in the late 90s/early 00s where journalist Chuck Phillips claimed that Biggie was behind the shooting and went to Vegas under disguise to ensure that 2Pac was murdered by his gun. With the murder rap theory all you pretty much have to do is replace Biggie's involvement with that of Eric "Von Zip" Martin who allegedly was the one who put the hit in motion in Vegas by supplying the gun. I guess you could also argue that the earlier account of Biggies involvement could add further support to the murder rap theory but i dont buy that which leads me on to what i believe nowadays.
I feel more and more 2Pacs murder was an inside job and that Suge Knight was supposed to be killed too. The MGM fight was set up to happen through influence by crooked cops and certain MOB Piru members. I feel the beatdown of Orlando was staged somewhat. The way he was pointed out to 2Pac and it always seemed like such a coincidence that he was just standing there in their path. There was also that little well done gesture by one of the Pirus to the other as 2Pac and the death row entourage walked away from the scene of the beating which you can see on some of the CCTV footage. Another thing i question to this day is how the shooters were able to locate the death row entourage so easily on such a busy night on the Vegas strip and the pathetic lack of security they had around them. How could they just leave the whole right lane free in the vehicle caravan? The police stop just prior to the shooting, the allegations from one of the bodyguards that that they heard someone say "got em" over walkie talkie, and the fact that they couldnt carry weapons due to paperwork not being filed by death row security. Perhaps, Kadafi's witness statement, where he described the shooter as a completely different looking individual to Orlando Anderson, and the fact he ended up murdered himself not long after supports such a theory also. I understand the official story around Kadafis murder but, again, it always seemed off to me how he was murdered in that fashion so soon after 2Pac's murder. Another thing, not many people seem to believe that Puffy was involved. Im not defending him and cant stand him but isnt it odd that the accusations from the murder rap theory seem to have been pretty much ignored by anyone in the industry?
Biggie murder was orchestrated by the same people to cover up the 2Pac murder. Going back to the Chuck Phillips article, one of the earliest version of events was that Biggie was behind 2Pac's murder. i think this narrative was put out there by those who conspired to murder 2Pac to make it look like tit for tat. Biggie had 2Pac killed and this was retaliation by Suge Knight. The people who orchestrated Biggies murder were working for death row and utilised crooked cops again to make it happen and cover it up. Russell Poole, who investigated Biggies murder in the early days, almost had it cracked and i believe his version of events for the most part. However, he was wrong about Suge Knights involvement and came to realise this eventually and i understand he had even went to prison to apologise to Suge. Russell of course died of a heart attack while presenting his latest theory on Biggies murder to the LAPD in another stunning coincidence.
The other theory i could also believe is that it was effectively assisted suicide in 2Pac's case. all the lyrics about planning to die, his insane work rate and his drive to create such a body of work in 1996, The euphanasia chain he wore on the night of his death, the accounts from Napoleon about how he was acting strange leading up to his death (giving away belongings for example) the reckless behaviour, not wearing any vest on the night he was shot, the fact he was possibly going back to prison for a parole violation, his mental state in 1996 as a young man-He was under severe mental strain after being shot and coming out prison and, while this is a topic people speak more openly about today, it seems like a subject that's rarely, if ever touched on, when talking about 2Pac.
just my thoughts on it at this point. i had lost interest in this for many years but ive become fascinated by it all again in the past year or so.
