Why is vegetarian input not wanted? Chinese food is great for vegetarians.

As for question, make sure you aren't eating chinese food that contains a lot of MSG.

i dont want it to be a war lol.
.....why would it be? You said chinese food, not chinese food containing meat.

The problems caused by eating meat pertain to any kind of dish, not just specifically chinese food and are therefore not particularly relevant to this discussion, which IS specifically about chinese food.

Anyway, as I said before, MSG (Monosodium Glutamate), which is a flavor enhancer, is your biggest health concern with Chinese takeout food, you want to ideally try and find a place that specifically states that they don't use it.

You made me hungry by thinking about Chinese food now, I'mma go make some noodles or something lol.

The Chinese kitchen is very diverse and imo that makes it one of the best in the world.

But yes, I know what you mean. Sometimes I get that with overeating as well, hehehe.

I like Chinese food a lot, but every time I eat it, it hurts my stomach just minutes after. It doesn't give me diarrhea or anthing gross that it's notorious for, it just gives me severe stomach pains that go away shortly (by which time I'm usually hungry again, haha.)
It is the only kind of food that does it to me, I love Mexican food (thanks Jesse!) and usually it hurts a persons stomach, but it never bothers me. I heard Chinese uses a lot of MSG and a nurse at work said I could be sensitive to that, but isnt MSG in like, everything?
It could just be an oil or a spice they use that my stomach is sensitive to, but I'm like one of those dogs that gets shocked every time it touches the fence, but keeps going back. Chinese food is just too damn good.

i sometimes feel tired after having a substantial meal, it's because my metabolism puts a lot of energy into digesting the food hence why i feel like having less energy otherwise.

this is why many people drink coffee after having a meal in restaurants, to take the edge off the feeling of fatigue you get after having consumed a substantial meal.

I don't think vegetarians can truly understand taste or even the true taste of the Chinese cuisine. Good call on keeping them out.

As for your question it depends what you had and who made it.

I can't eat it any more since trying to find out what is Gluten Free or not is like bashing my head against a wall.
me: "is this gluten free?"
chinese lady/guy: *blank look / long pause* "uhh um yes"
me: "hmm are you sure"
chinese lady/guy: *blank look / long pause* "ummm.."

I gave up.

There was a place I used to go to called 'Vegetarian Delight' they were a Buddhist place that did mock meat. I was skeptical but it tasted really great. Still had that feeling after though.

Chinese food never makes me feel bad after eating it. However, I can be full after eating and then like 30 minutes later i'm starving again and, well.. that sucks.

i love mexican cuisine. i love the fact that salt, lime and some form of spice is in nearly all the dishes (even their sweets!).
I love fresh lime juice on Mexican food. I wish more restaurants offered cut limes with your meal so that I can just squeeze the juices. lol
