Something I Found Interesting..
This is a video of the rapper Skillz talking about some of the better known names in the business. How they got their shots and how now a days, people don't get their shots.

yea, interestin shit. But I ain't surprised. Tha rap game is dictated and way more about business suits and glitter than the street realities I used to hear about back in the 90's. I remember seein a bunch of peoples havin their own video's back in the day. Nowadayz, its much less artist in the public light and like i said, dictated

one of the more interesting things I've heard about the rap game came from Asher Roth in the streethop interview when he said that label execs usually have you rap in front of a girl to see if she likes your shit, and then proceed from there. If the girl doesn't like your shit, you're out.

as much as that sucks, it completely makes sense. When you look at the grand scheme of things it's the ladies buying the albums, you don't see a whole lot of females on the "pirating" scene at all compared to males, so it's definitely more likely that a female will be buying the shit if she likes it as compared to a male.

not just buying albums, but in general. If there's no club music, there's no girls to dance to it. Then, what's left of rap? What's left of rap is linx and masta247. Then you know we're going to hell.
