speaking of his last album...how did it do in sales? did it flop? i think it was a great cd and being that he gives away the mixtape messiah tapes i went and bought his first album at the same time as his new one. i just leave 'em in the case and use my burned copies though

it flopped i think..according to wikipedia, it sold 215,666 copies. he should of made a couple more videos. I never understood why he stopped at Morning News/Hip-Hop Police, there were so many other great tracks to promote the shit outta that album.

^ I think he was going to flop from the get go. S O F I and I had this conversation in the chatbox. I said the Evening News beat was hard as fuck, but he disagreed with me and said the beat was lacking the typical mainstream POP sound - he's right. I still love the song, and the beat is still hard to me but there's no room for The Evening News (which is in top 3 of Ultimate Victory) in the world where songs like A Milli and Lollipop dominate. Add that to the content of the song. You and I might appreciate what he did there, but the rest of the people want to forget about Iraq and just watch Leno before they pass out.
That said, who really gives a fuck about how much he sold besides Cham and his label? I still enjoy the album (although, I don't like the fact that Sound of Revenge and Ultimate Victory follows the same formula) & those who failed to recognize him can go rot their brains for all I care.

"Internet Nerd's Revenge." "The online thing is real big right now," Cham said. "Even though I'm dropping this in the streets ... I see rappers online, and it matters what's said online. You go to MTVNews.com and see what they saying on Mixtape Monday. Fans complain about everything. They complain about Weezy when he does right, when he do wrong. Same thing with Kanye and everybody. Me and my boys went to all these Web sites, and we took a whole list of everything everybody said bad about Chamillionaire. I did a rap like I'm the person sitting at the computer typing and saying bad stuff about Chamilllionaire. It's some little kid that's on the Internet. He's young; he's getting all this stuff he's saying about me. His mother comes in and asks him, 'Did you take your medication? Are you on those porno sites again?' I'm rapping like I'm him in his voice."
^^ damn...
