Movie Trailers

We don’t usually post movie trailers around here unless they star a rapper but I’ll make an exception for this one for three simple reasons:

  1. It features Royce Da 5′9″’s “Dinner Time” off of the album named after this site, Street Hop. (We’re still waiting for a check, interview or something, holla at us Nickle!)
  2. It looks like a good movie
  3. I got a red light camera fine yesterday

Snoop Dogg has managed to lower himself once again, this time to promote the cruddy HBO series True Blood.  I won’t be drinking “Gin & Juice” to this one.

Come back Snoop, we miss the Doggystyle days!

To coincide with The RZA’s 20 year in the music biz anniversary, he is releasing this Shaw Brothers type kung fu film called Wu-Tang vs The Golden Phoenix. Check out the trailer below, this thing looks like a lot of low budget Grindhouse-like martial arts fun; but I don’t think it’s for everyone.

Ice Cube appeared on Good Day New York to plug his new documentary about the Oakland Raiders called Straight Outta LA.

On a side note, I’m really looking forward to I Am The West. Who’s with me?

On September 11, 2009, Jay-Z took over Madison Square Garden in New York City. The show sold out it’s 20,000 capacity in a matter of minutes and was called the “Answer The Call” concert, a commemoration of the 9/11 attacks and a tribute to the city itself where all proceeds went to the New York Police and Fire Widows’ and Children’s Benefit Fund.

Photographer and filmmaker Danny Clinch followed Jay-Z around and shot this documentary called NY-Z about the rapper, the concert and the city, in complete black and white.

The whole thing was funded by Absolut Vodka and it will be released (and posted here) for free on March 22nd.

For now, here is the trailer.

Here is the trailer for QD3’s The Carter, a documentary about Lil Wayne. Apparently Weezy wanted to block it’s release or something, but a judge overturned it.

I guess Eminem liked being associated with DJ Hero so much that he decided to do it again with Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

Some of you got mad that I thought DJ Hero was a bit lame so let me just say Modern Warfare 2 is going to fucking rock. Rukas bought me the preorder for my birthday. This will be epic.

Are you guys actually interested in this game? Pass from me. No offense.
