We regret to inform you that rapper MC Breed, real name Eric Breed who was born in Flint, Michigan has suddenly died from Kidney Failure on November 22nd 2008.

An anonymous source, reportedly a friend of the late rapper confirmed the passing of the industry veteran. “He’s no longer with us,” the source said. “We are in the process of putting together a benefit concert, hopefully at Saint Andrews to raise money for a funeral.”

On September 5, 2008 the rapper was hospitalized and placed on life-support, after he collapsed when his kidneys failed, during a game of pickup basketball.

Breed had been in the music industry for 15 years, making notable collaborations with 2Pac (“Gotta Get Mine), and Too $hort. Breed’s biggest single was “Ain’t No Future in Yo Frontin',” which reached number 66 on the Billboard Hot 100.
