B. Lamont Confirms Eminem Back In The Studio, "He's Got A Lot To Get Off His Chest"

By Rahim, 07-18-2008 , 04:27 AM

Aftermath rapper Bishop Lamont recently revealed to Entertainment Weekly that Eminem has begun recording on his sixth album.

"Em is excited," Lamont said. "He's been quiet too long, and he's got a lot to get off his chest."

Eminem hasn't released a solo album in the past four years. The rapper has been on hiatus for the past two-plus years, in part to deal with his emotions about the 2006 death of best friend and fellow D12 member Proof in a bar shooting in Detroit.

"He went through what he had to go through, and now he's been able to take all the pain and stress and put it out in his music," said Lamont.

Eminem's label also confirmed that the rapper is crafting an album but a release date has not been set.

this will sound bad but i dont mean it disrespectful... but maybe proof dying gave em his drive back. its like em got too rich and spoiled and smothered in self loathing that its all he would rap about, or just make a song like "Rain Man" where he brags about rappin a whole song and not saying shit.

hope he is hungry again... but look how fat he is now, of course he's hungry. lol.

This could be the biggest surprise or the biggest disappointment of the year. At this point, it's probably a coin flip.

If he could mix the sincerity of his 8 Mile songs with the "don't give a fuck" wittiness of MMLP, it could be a classic. It's a big if though.

One thing is for sure and that is that lyrically, he won't be the same. Content-wise, album will probably be good.

hes got it in him to produce something spectacular. but the things that are going on nowadays in his life probably wont allow for him to use such lyrics as he is renowned for.

e.g. he tried to patch things up with kim, but since they split... nothing since. so he cant keep repeating himself over kim

hes on good terms with his mum and helped pay for her treatment. so its likely theres no diss towards her.

no beef with anyone. just reintroducing himself again.

but... proof, d12, royce and perhaps obie, ca$his and dre. this is what his album could be all about.

well we know it won't be about "big screen tvs, blunts, 40's, and bitches" but maybe it'll be all about his pain and a return of slim shady that was supposed to have been buried. I don't think Slim ever died cause right when everything was supposed to be over with Kim goes and gets all hissy over some sleeping pills and takes the daughter and threatens a tell all book to which M responds with the promise that he'd litigate her so hard she'll spend all the money from the book on lawyers... yeah, Slim ain't dead, this is his return album

List of things I prefer

-No gimmick singles (yea right!)

-No daughter songs

-Ho commentary on the Hip Hop Industry. I really think his last joke .. I mean his last effort was him giving up and making a mockery out of the whole scene in his own brand of weird humor. It sucked minus a few songs.

-Solo effort. I don't want to hear D12, I don't want to hear G-Unit, I don't want to hear Obie or any of those fools.
