Hack Squats

Are they a good exercise to build up your quads? Im trying to build up my legs more. I have tried the other type of squats where you hold the barbell on your shoulders, but im limited in the amount of weight i can lift doing these. I dont have a squat rack, so i have to lift the barbell from the ground, over my head and onto my shoulders. so are hack squats a good alternative because i can lift a lot more weight doing them. I did them for the first time the day the before yesterday, and my quads are still sore after them.lol

A lot of websites say they are good. But a full squat is best for an all round leg exercise.

Not even one response, im disapointed Menace .

I started doing Jefferson Squats the other day as well. They are a tough exercise.

lol. i think there is at least 12 variations of the squat.

I just do hack squats because i find it difficult to do other ones because i dont have a squat rack.
