Over the last century there's been a huge fashion for America thus they are so popular. Also living conditions in the US are good.
Like I said their economy has also been doing great (not anymore though) and again Asian countries have it all under control now (okay almost). While it might sound silly I think China has a firm grab on the US balls - even for the single fact that if America was to pay their Chinese loans back they would go bankrupt.

Flying to America you can't break their laws and actually "do what they tell you" like in any other country.
In China you would also have to do what they told you and trust me that there would be much higher penalties for disagreeing

The whole bugging and eavesdropping on phone calls sucks. I've heard about that too and its a real invasion of privacy in my eyes. The emails we send from Kenya are passed through a USA server which then picks out particular words that are termed as threats.

Even wire transfers we carry out in banks are passed through the USA first. Western Union to my next door neighbor? Through the USA first. Its all weird when you think of what happens when you do these thing on a day to day basis.
