Bone Thugs -N- Harmony has released a follow up video off of UNI 5: The World’s Enemy entitled “Meet Me In The Sky”. The first full length video off of the album was” Rebirth” featuring Thin C. Click here if you missed it. This video has a “Crossroads” vibe to it. This video was released earlier this morning via Myspace. Props to them for providing the video.

UPDATE: The album after being pushed back several times is slated to hit store shelves April 27th. Let’s hope, and I personally have been a fan of Bone Thugs since they first hit the rap scene, don’t push it back any further.

Game asks judge to not call him a Gangsta

Ironically referring to himself as a gangster or gangster rapper, Game has asked a judge to stop calling him a gangster. According to TMZ, he requested that the judge behind his trial remove the 86 references to Game being a gangster during the hearing and not use the rapper’s lyrics as evidence during the trial.

The trial stems from a 2008 incident during a pick-up basketball game where he allegedly punched a guy and later pulled a gun.

Nas goes back to high school to get his diploma

It appears that Nas has decided to go back to school to get his high school diploma. Apparently this past week he told a group of high school students during a conference for the Boys & Girls Club of America that getting his diploma was one of his main goals right now. He spoke on leadership and his personal life. The conference took place in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.

Here’s an excerpt from Nas:

“The reality of it is, you need to keep educating yourself, and I wish I had stayed in school.”

This is the type of news I like to hear. Mad respect to him for wanting to get his education.

DMX arrested in Arizona… again

Earl Simmonds or better known as DMX was arrested yet again in Arizona. X was arrested on violations of probation. He was in Arizona on a fundraiser for a Gospel Rap Church. TMZ caught the explosion in court after the judge left.

Lil Wayne to serve in General Population

Now that Lil Wayne is in jail, his lawyer has requested that the rapper serve his one year sentance in General Population as opposed to 23 hour lock down with 1 hour solitary; basically allowing the rapper to socialize with the 17 other inmates in his cell block.

Correction Department spokesman Stephen Morello has said that if granted Weezy will have a “general population escort,” meaning he will have a bodygaurd to protect him when he is out of his cell.

T.I. dissed by a former member of Grand Hustle

Trailer for Jay-Z’s “NY-Z” documentary

On September 11, 2009, Jay-Z took over Madison Square Garden in New York City. The show sold out it’s 20,000 capacity in a matter of minutes and was called the “Answer The Call” concert, a commemoration of the 9/11 attacks and a tribute to the city itself where all proceeds went to the New York Police and Fire Widows’ and Children’s Benefit Fund.

Photographer and filmmaker Danny Clinch followed Jay-Z around and shot this documentary called NY-Z about the rapper, the concert and the city, in complete black and white.

The whole thing was funded by Absolut Vodka and it will be released (and posted here) for free on March 22nd.
