Posts about Shyne
I know we’ve been reporting a lot on Shyne lately; but I personally think he deserves the respect to be left alone already. Po just got out of prison and was automatically deported back to Belize. The paparazzi and media in Belize just won’t give him that respect. Anyway, here’s footage of Shyne with family after jumping off the plane. Apparently Shyne changed his name to Moses Michael Levi.
Shyne arrived in Belize only to be greeted by the Paparazzi which he ignored. Po headed to the Princess Youth Royal Hotel to give a motivational speech to under privileged children that were beginning to head down the wrong path in their young lives.
The reason behind Shyne’s deportation in still unclear at this time. The only suggestion I can come up with is that Diddy had something to do with it. Spending nine years in prison is a long time for a crime that he may not have committed. If ya’ll missed the related news to this; [click here]. Below is a picture of Shyne with the kids at the hotel.

Like we reported yesterday [click here], Shyne got deported to Belize today.
He was taken to the airport by 5 Immigration agents and is said to be picked up in Belize by his estranged father, Dean Barrow, the Prime Minister of the country.
The legal battle will now focus on trying to get Shyne a visa back into the US.

It’s official. Shyne is being deported back to Belize tomorrow. Fuck. I guess there is still hope that Governor David Paterson will overturn the decision or allow him to return to the US after deportation, but it isn’t looking good right now.

Even after fan outcry and public support, it looks like Shyne is still set to be deported to Belize when he is released from custody.
Miss Info got the scoop from Angine Martinez, who is close friends with ‘Po.
Today I was hanging out with my girl Angie Martinez on her show, and she told me she talked to Shyne and he wanted to share this update….
Shyne’s team is fighting to stay in the US where his mother and his grandmother live and where they raised him….but it seems like he’s going to have to continue the fight from Belize. Shyne will be released from Immigration custody but will then be deported to Belize soon. He has Harvard Professor Charles Ogletree advocating on his behalf in concert with his legal team. They’re still urging fans to reach out to Governor Patterson’s office to petition for Shyne’s pardon (click here for Paterson’s email and his address) but deportation is imminent.
And what about Shyne’s mental state? Angie says “Shyne is one of the strongest people I know and he’s handling this situation just as I’d expect him to. It must be frustrating for all of his friends and family; he served his time, and keeps getting all these different dates and conflicting information. But he’s a soldier, he’s dealing with it.”
You’re telling me that Diddy is so unavailable to Mase that he had to resort to crashing a Diddy radio interview just to have his release papers signed? Damn Puff you cold, I hope Dirty Money was paying attention! You gotta admit that’s a nice chess move by Mase though, and it’s good to see he hasn’t abandoned religion either, he signed himself just before Diddy signed the papers. Looks like Mase knows he needs all the help in this world (and beyond) when it comes to getting something out of Puff.
http://www.vimeo.com/7135654“I don’t even know how to take that, I’m not used to Puff doing good stuff.” Ouch.
Anyone down for a Mase and Shyne collaboration? Something tells me Diddy isn’t.

And it begins. Remember when Diddy was on the radio and said he had spoken to Shyne on the phone? Click here if you don’t. Well, Shyne has told Rolling Stone that the call is a “figment” of Diddy’s imagination.
I want it known that this supposed conversation is a figment of Sean Combss imagination,” he says in a statement. “He never spoke with me, he never visited me nor would I ever accept a phone call or visit from him. The only way I would do either of those things would be if he stepped up and did the right thing for the victims of the incident.
Po’ is still facing deportation.

First the good news; Shyne is being released today after serving 9 years.
The bad news? It looks like he will be deported back to Belize on Friday.
Damn.

Shyne is set to walk free in a couple of weeks, and the man many hold responsible for Shyne’s prison term, Diddy, spoke to Hot 97 about it.
Who thinks Shyne is going to go after Diddy when he touches down? Vote on our poll to the right.
As we reported today, Shyne is being released October 6th [click here]. Teresa Dennis, one of the new staff joining the StreetHop.com writing team, has discovered that Jay-Z is interested in signing the former Bad Boy Records rapper to his new Roc Nation imprint.
According to sources, Jay-Z visited Shyne at Rykers Island last Friday. Things could be coming together rather well for Shyne, and he could be just the artist Jay-Z needs to certify Roc Nation as more than just another Roc-A-Fella.
More news as we get it.

Some really good news. Shyne is up for parole in October and he’s got a hearing tomorrow to see whether there will be any restrictions placed on him regarding his ability to pursue his recording career. But he will definitely be released October 6th after serving 8 and a half years of his 10 year sentence.
Basically the judge can either give him an easy parole of 1 and a half years, to complete the 10 years, or add a further 5 years on top of that and restrict his travel, which would make a rap career difficult.
Hopefully he can return to the music industry with as little restriction as possible in October.
Good luck Shyne!
