This was actually released before the ODB/Wu Tang one [click here], but I just found it and it’s too good not to post. Fredro Starr talks about being offered a record deal with Death Row Records after Suge Knight and Tupac went to the Sunset Park premier, and how ‘Pac and others reacted to the offer.

For the record, the ‘Pac song on the Sunset Park soundtrack that ‘Dro mentions is the amazing classic “Pain” that was later bastardized by Ja Rule on his album Pain Is Love.

UPDATE: Thanks to Jon Peters below for pointing out my mistake, the song on the Sunset Park soundtrack was actually “High ‘Til I Die.” “Pain” was released on the soundtrack of another basketball movie, Above The Rim, in which Tupac also stared. My comments on Ja Rule’s version of “Pain” still stand though. Terrible.

I was in the mood for some Onyx, and I came across this. It’s about a month old, but it’s newish and sick. Fredro Starr and Sticky Fingaz spit a mad freestyle on 101Barz. I’m wondering where Sonsee has been hiding at. Get at us!

Looks like Fredro Starr and Sticky Fingaz are pissed about Dame Dash’s BlakRoc [click here]. Can’t we all just get along? On a side note; Fuck Yes! New Onyx!

Where is Sonsee?

As Shyne remains facing deportation, Fredro Starr from Onyx remembers that night in the club.

Onyx is a Hip-Hop group I’ve always wanted to see stage a full complete comeback, I think they are legends and could still be very relevant. Just look at how Wu Tang is hanging in there, I think Onyx can do just as well and are just as talented.

And apparently according to Vega they are amazing live. He managed to capture the Harpers Ferry in Boston performance and upload it.
