Apparently Rakim feels “funny” about Nas’s “Unauthorized Biography of Rakim” off of his Streets Disciple album.

First it was Method Man, now the Internal Revenue Service is coming after Nas.

The IRS has ironically slammed Nas with a demand for $2.5 million in unpaid taxes. They have requested he pay the massive figure amount for outstanding taxes owed between 2006 and 2007. This is only another troubled time for Nas because his estranged wife Kelis managed to pull $30,471 a month for her and their infant son Knight. What the fuck is the deal with rappers wives these days dropping a splintered ball bat on their nuts? Eminem’s wife Kim said he sucked in bed and wasn’t well-endowed, and now Kelis pulled almost $31,000 from Nas’ ass.

Mr Magic, real name John Rivas, has died today of a heart attack. He was an important figure in the rap game. It was confirmed by DJ Premier this morning. He hosted an on-air radio show called Rap Attack. It was the first rap radio show to air. He was New York resident and worked along side artists such as Rakim, Nas, Tupac, Notorious B.I.G and the list goes on.He also had a rivalry with Kool DJ Red Alert. From all of us here at Street Hop, rest in peace Magic.

Although The Game seems to be constantly dissing him, Jay-Z has yet to respond. In a new interview, he explained why he hasn’t fired back at people like Game and Jim Jones, saying he doesn’t consider them real competition. Besides explaining why Game and Jimmy aren’t competitive, Jigga explains that artists like Nas and Eminem are his only real competition.

“Not really that competitive, because the competition isn’t based on real competition,” Jay says in the October issue of XXL Magazine. “I mean, Game, I’m his fuckin’ idol. If you ask him and he’s being truthfully honest with you it’s just based off his insecurities and, for the most part, pretension. That type of competition doesn’t do anything for me. It’s almost like someone trying to set you up, and everyone knows they’re to set you up, and everybody. It’s just dumb. It’s not in the spirit of competition, because he’s not competition for me. He’s not. Not then, not ever — he’d have to improve considerably. Competition for me competition is Nas, Eminem. Like Jim Jones?

That’s ridiculous to me. So how do I respond to that? I can’t win. If I win, then they’ll be like, ‘See. Now chill. You’re a fuckin’ bully.’ And if it manages to throw a haymaker from the West Coast, then it’s like ‘Oooooh.’ It’s not even fun. Like, before I did it, because I would diss anybody. Now who has time to do this shit everyday? But before, when I was running after the little fat nigga from Ma$e’s camp, I was doing anybody.

Anybody said anything. If I thought you said something. When I was running in the streets, I wanted all that type of activity. Nobody wanted nothing. Now everybody’s a tough guy.”

It is official, Kelis has given birth to Nas’s son, and they’ve named the baby boy Knight.

Nas was at the hospital, but not in the room, when the baby was born. Kelis had been in labor since Monday morning delivering the baby with a natural birth.

Congratulations to the couple, now hopefully they can sort out their differences.

Not sure what the point of this was, but Tony Yayo and Cormega walked down some street in Queens Bridge, threw a little shot at Nas, filmed it, and put it on Youtube.

Meka said it best, no matter how boring (keep it real) Nas’ sets are, this song always brings the ruckus.

The Game is at it again. “Fuck Jay-Z! That’s how Pac felt. That’s how Nas felt. And that’s how I feel.” He then goes into his “Fuck Jay-Z! Old ass nigga!” chants and a freestyle.

The Beatie Boys brought out a special guest while performing at Bonnaroo — Nas.
