This is the first episode from Jay-Z‘s Life + Time’s “Road to Brooklyn” series; taking a look at how the Barclays Center arena and new home of the Brooklyn Nets arena came to become a fixture in the borough.
The interesting thing about the video is that it actually shows Brooklyn residents who are for and against the development of the arena. So it shows both sides of the story, rather than just glorify the development, which it could have easily done.
The Forbes “Hip-Hop Cash King” list for 2012 has been released, and topping out the bank is Dr. Dre, who was also the only Hip-Hop celebrity to make the general “Highest-Paid Celebrities” list where he came it at number 5.

Jay-Z is trying to breath new life into his Rocawear fashion label and has just released a new ad campaign, “Marcy To Barclays.” It basically follows Hov from the Marcy Projects to the opening of the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
