Just before news broke out that Gucci Mane had been taken into custody and sentenced to 12 months in jail [click here], the Atlanta rapper sat down with Miss Info to discuss his beef with Young Jeezy.

News just in that Gucci Mane has been taken into custody and sentenced to 12 months in jail just as his career was sky rocketing.

No word on what he was actually arrested for other than it being a probation violation.

Damn, that makes T.I., Lil Wayne, Lil Boosie and Gucci Mane all in the big house at the same time. It’s a good thing Shyne just got released

UPDATE: MTV reports that Gucci may be out in six months.

MTV has released their full Top 10 Hottest MCs list after running a long standing poll. The thing is though the fan poll apparently didn’t count for diddly squat because the final top 10 don’t reflect the fan choices.

I mean at one point, Joe Budden was leading the pack and although I stopped checking Im sure he ended up in the top 10 somewhere, if not the top 5. Not to mention the fact that Eminem isn’t in there at all and he won the fan poll, and as disappointing as Relapse was to me personally, I’m still pretty sure that he is a better MC than Kanye West or Gucci Mane, who landed at the 4 and 6 spots. Or Rick Ross for that matter.

And how in the hell is Drake Top 3? He doesn’t even have an album out yet. I’m not knocking the guy’s talent and have high hopes for his music and inclusion on such lists, in the future, but how can anyone be the 3rd hottest MC in the game without having proven themselves on any real level? What albums has he dropped? What battles has he overcome, lyrically or otherwise?

And finally, Jay-Z took out the number 1 spot. Ok, I can see how he had the momentum going this year with The Blueprint 3, but the album itself was a disappointment and no where near his best work. Yes I said it, and let me further the controversy by saying that I’m not a 100% sure Jigga at any point in his career deserved the top crown when matched against his peers in that era, let alone now. But I guess that just goes to show the sad state of Hip-Hop this year.

No scratch that, we’ve had some great albums and music this year. I guess what this really goes to show is the sad state of MTV.

This is a banger, even Mike Jones sounds good on this.

Three people were stabbed at an Atlanta nightclub last night (June 17th), and at least one is an associate of Young Jeezy. Antonio “Bama” Henry is reportedly being treated in an Atlanta hospital.

TMZ were the first to break the story:

Sources tell TMZ, Bama, Young Jeezy and several members of the crew were partying at an event at the Luckie Lounge in downtown Atlanta. Around 2:30 in the morning, we’re told a huge brawl erupted — in which Bama was stabbed multiple times. It’s unclear how serious the injuries are. Bama was taken to the Grady Memorial Hospital, where he is still receiving treatment. We’re told two other people were also stabbed during the fight. (TMZ)

Rumors started flying that Jeezy was involved and it had something to do with Gucci Mane and the diss [click here] Jeezy released aimed at him the previous day. Jeezy however, while admitting he was there, denies being involved with anything that went down.

“We was at the bar,” Jeezy said in an interview. “I know they said something broke out, but we ain’t catch nothing. We got up out of the building and we left. Headed back to the studio and kicked it…Hell no! Niggas stab me? Ain’t no one dead is it? [laughs] Nah, we one hundred, quit playing. I’m a tell you something too man, you better quit listening to them TMZ-ass dudes, man. Come on man. These internet gangstas — I mean, bitches. Nah, we good man. We one hundred. Everybody we left with was good. Club pretty much closed after that. I ain’t see nothing so I can’t tell ya. We had a ball, man. We got up outta there.” (Rap Radar)

Young Jeezy takes a moment to refuel his couple year old beef with Gucci Mane and also takes shots at OJ Da Juiceman. This came out two days ago and has already lead to repercussions that I’ll post about in the news in a moment.

So here it is, Mariah Carey’s response to Eminem. Not really that harsh, she doesn’t go into specifics or mention names at all. This is also the first single from her upcoming Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel album dropping August 25th.
