Posts about Fabolous

It’s about time Joe Budden stopped the web drama and dropped some new music, although he does address all the drama on this, including the “beef” with Fabolous. Still dope. Where’s the new album Joe? Get up off Amalgam though, you’re better than that.

More from the Def Jam Honors, this time it is Fabolous and Foxy Brown performing “I’ll Be” followed by Ghostface and Chrisette Michele.
MTV has released their full Top 10 Hottest MCs list after running a long standing poll. The thing is though the fan poll apparently didn’t count for diddly squat because the final top 10 don’t reflect the fan choices.
I mean at one point, Joe Budden was leading the pack and although I stopped checking Im sure he ended up in the top 10 somewhere, if not the top 5. Not to mention the fact that Eminem isn’t in there at all and he won the fan poll, and as disappointing as Relapse was to me personally, I’m still pretty sure that he is a better MC than Kanye West or Gucci Mane, who landed at the 4 and 6 spots. Or Rick Ross for that matter.
And how in the hell is Drake Top 3? He doesn’t even have an album out yet. I’m not knocking the guy’s talent and have high hopes for his music and inclusion on such lists, in the future, but how can anyone be the 3rd hottest MC in the game without having proven themselves on any real level? What albums has he dropped? What battles has he overcome, lyrically or otherwise?
And finally, Jay-Z took out the number 1 spot. Ok, I can see how he had the momentum going this year with The Blueprint 3, but the album itself was a disappointment and no where near his best work. Yes I said it, and let me further the controversy by saying that I’m not a 100% sure Jigga at any point in his career deserved the top crown when matched against his peers in that era, let alone now. But I guess that just goes to show the sad state of Hip-Hop this year.
No scratch that, we’ve had some great albums and music this year. I guess what this really goes to show is the sad state of MTV.

Apparently the rumor mills were working overtime this weekend regarding the rapper Fabolous.
Reported rumors began circulating the internet that Fabolous had been in a car accident on September 27th. It turns out the rumors were false, but something had happened to him while he was in Atlanta.
According to Fab’s Twitter page, he had been rushed to the hospital by ambulance after feeling ill while driving and nearly passing out. He pulled off to the side of the road and called for an ambulance. Which is where the car accident rumor could have come from.
“I’m ok everyone..thanks 4 the concern. I was not in a car accident, but I think i know where it started.. Let me explain, I was drivin yesterday morning & started feeling very sick & felt like I was gon pass out while driving.. I veered off 2 da side of the road.”
“I believed I was poisoned so I checked in & was given medical treatment..a lil sedated so I didn’t tweet but was released 2 go late last nite,”
continued Fab in his Tweets.
He was released after being medically treated. He showed concerns for his fans by saying, “Again thanks 4 ur concern & prayers.. I’m ok, No car accident, jus a lil sick.. Imma shake it off and GO IN on somebody later LOL!.”
He believes the recent poisoning could have slated from his latest beef with Bow Wow.
Loso has also been beefing with T-Pain recently. He’s currently working on a supergroup featuring Ne-Yo and Ryan Leslie.
It’s official, ya’ll! Ghostface Killah has released the track listing and guest appearances on his upcoming album Wizard of Poetry. He also revealed a nationwide tour hitting up twenty four cities from coast to coast.

According to Tweets made by rapper Fabolous over the weekend, singer T-Pain had a few choice words for Jay-Z while deejaying at Rehab nightclub in Las Vegas.
While doing his set at Rehab, T-Pain proceeded to tell the crowd “fuck Jay-Z.”
“Yo I’m at Rehab in Vegas.. T-Pain is DJ’ing.. Sayin Fuck Jay Z, he old, blah blah.. guess its backlash from D.O.A..,” said Fabolous via Twitter.
T-Pain’s “fuck Jay-Z” comments are a stark contrast to his initial response to Jay Z’s Death of Auto Tune (D.O.A.)” “That affected me in a great way, man. I made sure I honored him as a great song writer, that’s like the best song I heard in a couple years, man,” T-Pain told MTV regarding “D.O.A.” “And it’s great that somebody that important stepped up and vouched for me.”
The DJ who followed T-Pain was apparently unphased by T-Pain’s comments, he immediately started his set with “D.O.A.” followed by a number of other Jay-Z hits.
“Yo the DJ is doin’ a Jay-Z set.. D.O.A., Kingdom Come, “Run This Town”, “Heart of the City”, “H to the Izzo”, “Amillie Free”. T-Pain somewhere in here,” said Fabolous in a Tweet.
T-Pain has yet to comment publicly on his remarks made that night.
Fabolous recently backed up Jay-Z’s lyrical talent and overall skills. With Jigga’s 40th birthday getting closer and closer, Fabolous says “Jay, at 40 is still at the top of the game lyrically. Not many rappers are able to say that, ever. Support real hip hop, Blueprint 3 & Loso’s Way.” Posting on his Twitter account over the weekend, Fab even mentioned Jay-Z’s H-O-V lane line writing “What’s crazy is, I saw the H-O-V lane line 4 years but couldn’t use it cuz my name aint Hov.” Fab wrote Sunday morning. “Laughing, H-O-V, got my own lane already’ finally.”
Jay-Z recently talked about the age issue. “No matter what I do, any person that gets to this stage of their life is going to do whatever is in their heart,” Jay explains XXL Magazine. “I think people should make music as long as their heart is in it. As long as they’re pushing past the deadline four times and they’re still making more records. Like, there are thousands of boxers that could have retired before they had that fight, Muhammad Ali for one. But you never stop — because of one, your passion or greed, your financial situation, there may be a need, you know? The thing that I can do is stretch the subject matter. Whether Kingdom Come was your favorite album or not, ‘30 Something,’ you have to deal with that subject matter. If the target audience is 15 to 25, that’s too narrow. What am I going to listen to at 26 and beyond? That’s a quarter of my life.

It was reported that a recent Fabolous concert ended with gunfire, now the owner of the Pennsylvania nightclub has come forward to speak about the two victims and why he thinks the rapper’s late start could have sparked the gunfire itself. According to Crocodile Rock Cafe’s Joe Clark, the shoot-out could have possibly been avoided if Fabolous would have started on time.
“It was only around 700 people,” he said in an interview. “It was fine, the show was fine. The job was done. There was nobody even ejected. I had plenty of security. I mean this happened at 2:30 a.m. when all our security leaves. The last couple of times police haven’t shown up for certain shows. I was wondering if they were coming that night. So, they put me on hold and went to check it out and came back to tell me they weren’t coming. So I called the promoter and told them that they are saving money on police, but I want five more security guards. So what happened is that he got the guards, and the show went on. What makes me ill about these artists is that they come in, the show is supposed to be over by 1 a.m., but they don’t go on til 1:15. I don’t want the crowd here at 2 a.m., and we demonstrated that in so many, many show…We’ve had lots of rap shows. We always tend to step up security for rap shows. Properly managed, it can be done. But then we got the stigma factor out there that rap concerts are problems. Look again, I called the police and they couldn’t come.”
This sounds completely bunk to me. You cannot just call out “rap concerts” being a problem. Any concert can get out of hand.
Fabolous stays dropping amazing video clips. Jay-Z makes q cameo on this one, and I’d be lying if I said it didn’t just amp the anticipation for the “We Run This” video (sorry Fab!).
I hear that.
Fabolous’s Loso’s Way out now.
… in his new film, Loso’s Way. Gottcha!

Here’s yet another cut from Fabolous’s Loso’s Way, this time featuring Lil Wayne. Fab previously spoke about the collaboration with Weezy on this video.
