Posts About Eminem
MTV has released their full Top 10 Hottest MCs list after running a long standing poll. The thing is though the fan poll apparently didn’t count for diddly squat because the final top 10 don’t reflect the fan choices.
I mean at one point, Joe Budden was leading the pack and although I stopped checking Im sure he ended up in the top 10 somewhere, if not the top 5. Not to mention the fact that Eminem isn’t in there at all and he won the fan poll, and as disappointing as Relapse was to me personally, I’m still pretty sure that he is a better MC than Kanye West or Gucci Mane, who landed at the 4 and 6 spots. Or Rick Ross for that matter.
And how in the hell is Drake Top 3? He doesn’t even have an album out yet. I’m not knocking the guy’s talent and have high hopes for his music and inclusion on such lists, in the future, but how can anyone be the 3rd hottest MC in the game without having proven themselves on any real level? What albums has he dropped? What battles has he overcome, lyrically or otherwise?
And finally, Jay-Z took out the number 1 spot. Ok, I can see how he had the momentum going this year with The Blueprint 3, but the album itself was a disappointment and no where near his best work. Yes I said it, and let me further the controversy by saying that I’m not a 100% sure Jigga at any point in his career deserved the top crown when matched against his peers in that era, let alone now. But I guess that just goes to show the sad state of Hip-Hop this year.
No scratch that, we’ve had some great albums and music this year. I guess what this really goes to show is the sad state of MTV.
Here is the full list:
Man, Nick Cannon really can’t let this whole feud go. Apparently Mr. Cannon has warned Eminem again. He wants an “old-school-sit-down” with Slim Shady. Cannon wasn’t happy with Eminem’s “The Warning” which was a response to Mariah Carey’s “Obsession”. Besides, Mariah is too busy drinking wine to probably care anymore. Yeah, I said it.
Obviously “The Warning” wasn’t enough for Nick. I haven’t heard any talk from Mimi regarding this situation anymore since the diss came out. The whole beef stemmed from “Bagpipes From Baghdad” on Shady’s Relapse album. It sparked a whole lot of controversy, but I must agree with the 8 Mile Hero on this one.
Nick, you want to end his career? You better get one first. I don’t see too many reviews on your album. Like I’ve stated before; you’re barking up the wrong tree. Nick has stated Em is lucky “he hasn’t ran into him yet”. Yeah right.
Here’s a small excerpt from Nick:
I will not back down until the two of us talk it out one-on-one. “He’s lucky I haven’t run into him yet, I’m supposed to protect my woman if someone can be so heinous and disrespectful. Until we speak, I don’t respect him as a man. He and I need to have an old-school sit-down.”
Anyone out there remember Haystack? Well he apparently has a problem with Eminem and 50 Cent, and had the whole crowd behind him in Ohio.

Angie Martinez landed an in depth in studio interview with 50 Cent. Fif’ talks about Kanye West, Jay-Z and Lil Mama, and of course throws some light jabs at each of them. Interestingly he goes on to say that Eminem may not have known he was featured with all those artists on “Forever” and wasn’t happy at the way his vocals were mixed on the final product.
Props to RapRadar.com for the audio.
I’m confused. Young Buck states in the beginning of “If I Have To” that he is coming for Eminem’s ass. Buck then spits fire as he always does with his grimy style. The song features All Star.
Buck fired back in an interview and said he wasn’t dissing Eminem. The Cashville Titan said he has no issues with Eminem, and he’s probably his biggest fan.

Royce Da 5′9″ chimes in on those “Slaughterhouse signing to Shady Records because they were in the “Forever” video behind Eminem [click here]” rumors. It is a possibility.
When “Forever” dropped, it seemed to quickly be one of the most talked about singles of the year. As all of the emcees went through their verses, Eminem clearly murdered the track. Hands down, in my eyes anyway.
With the video for “Forever”, when it was Eminem’s turn to spit on the track, you could see Slaughterhouse standing behind him dressed in all black. Apparently this was a way to let the fans know that Slaughterhouse and Slim Shady are in negotiations.
The rumors have been flying and running rampant with the possibility of Slaughterhouse signing with Shady Records. But nothing has been confirmed by either crew.
I have to agree with my dude Caesar. It was nice seeing Royce The 5′9′” standing behind Em in the video.
Here it is, yo. Drake featuring Kanye West, Lil Wayne and Eminem “Forever” official video! On the real, the video is just as hot as the song.
Caesar’s note: Didn’t expect to see Slaughterhouse getting a cameo in this, and even then, maybe during Drake’s verse seeing as him and Joe Budden are friends, but definitely not during Em’s verse. It’s good to see him and Royce on good terms again.
Hahaha… R.A. the Rugged Man makes a joke out of Joe Budden’s misfortune based on his own comments on Eminem not being the best rapper alive… Plus more laughs and name droping… Lil Wayne, Obama, 2Pac… R.A. has been in the game for a minute it’s dope to see him being successful with it and having a good time.
Eminem won Best Hip-Hop Video at the MTV Awards tonight. Here is his acceptance speech. Em of course dedicated his win to Proof.
J-Lo looks hot, and Im surprised Kanye West didn’t fuck this one up considering both he and Jay-Z were up for an award [click here].
