Jay-Z’s current protege talks about his boss’s beef with his previous protege Beanie Sigel. Oh, and he talks about comparisons to Drake.

Drake came through Jay-Z’s show in Toronto to perform “Successful.”

Now Tim Westwood sits down with Birdman.

According to Birdman (and he’d probably know considering he’s Lil Wayne’s boss) Weezy is dropping his Carter IV and Rebirth albums as one double disc release on the same day as the Young Money album hits stores; December 15th.

Here is the first video blog from Young Money and Cash Money in Amsterdam. Mostly focusing on Birdman.

MTV has released their full Top 10 Hottest MCs list after running a long standing poll. The thing is though the fan poll apparently didn’t count for diddly squat because the final top 10 don’t reflect the fan choices.

I mean at one point, Joe Budden was leading the pack and although I stopped checking Im sure he ended up in the top 10 somewhere, if not the top 5. Not to mention the fact that Eminem isn’t in there at all and he won the fan poll, and as disappointing as Relapse was to me personally, I’m still pretty sure that he is a better MC than Kanye West or Gucci Mane, who landed at the 4 and 6 spots. Or Rick Ross for that matter.

And how in the hell is Drake Top 3? He doesn’t even have an album out yet. I’m not knocking the guy’s talent and have high hopes for his music and inclusion on such lists, in the future, but how can anyone be the 3rd hottest MC in the game without having proven themselves on any real level? What albums has he dropped? What battles has he overcome, lyrically or otherwise?

And finally, Jay-Z took out the number 1 spot. Ok, I can see how he had the momentum going this year with The Blueprint 3, but the album itself was a disappointment and no where near his best work. Yes I said it, and let me further the controversy by saying that I’m not a 100% sure Jigga at any point in his career deserved the top crown when matched against his peers in that era, let alone now. But I guess that just goes to show the sad state of Hip-Hop this year.

No scratch that, we’ve had some great albums and music this year. I guess what this really goes to show is the sad state of MTV.

Birdman is so lucky he has Lil Wayne, and that Lil Wayne has Drake.

Yep, that is the entire Young Money roster plus Lloyd (although I wouldnt be surprised if he signs with them next).

Here it is, yo. Drake featuring Kanye West, Lil Wayne and Eminem “Forever” official video! On the real, the video is just as hot as the song.

Caesar’s note: Didn’t expect to see Slaughterhouse getting a cameo in this, and even then, maybe during Drake’s verse seeing as him and Joe Budden are friends, but definitely not during Em’s verse. It’s good to see him and Royce on good terms again.

I wonder if Birdman realizes that if it wasn’t for Lil Wayne he wouldn’t even be in the game anymore? I’m not hating, but it’s true, at least not as a rapper.

Real talk, do you ever remember anyone in Drake’s position getting as much work with major established legends in the game as he does? I mean, without even so much as one album out?

Here it is. And in case you are wondering, the one pictured above outshines everyone on this. So much so that I’m forgetting how disappointing Relapse was.

UPDATE: According to Drake this is the wrong version of the song and not what they wanted to leak, so hopefully that means some MORE new verses when we get the proper version…

Word has it that we will see a Drake, Eminem, Lil Wayne and Kanye West song next week. The song is a remake of Drake’s “Forever” featuring all new verses from everybody and will be on the More Than A Game movie soundtrack.

I hope it’s true, and I hope the inclusion of West, who has been at the top of his game recently, and Drake, forces both Eminem and Lil Wayne to bring their A-game instead of the silly bullshit they are both guilty of sometimes.

I don’t know if you good people have seen this but it’s pretty damn funny. This is the guy who does the Barack Obama impersonations on Youtube. I think if you saw the Drake video and didn’t like it (or did, whichever) you should check this out. I guarantee you’ll at least chuckle.
