Posts About DMX

This eleven minute video portrays how the media literally destroyed DMX and his career. Don’t get it twisted; X played a part in that. But the media went too far and exposed too much. X goes off in a prayer-like way  fixated on the industry. The video starts off with a snippet from “Lord Give Me a Sign”. Fire back with your thoughts. Some of the shit in this is righteously fucked. I feel for you Mr. Simmonds.

lloyd_banksG-Unit soldier Lloyd Banks was apparently involved in an assault that took place in Ontario, Canada. Banks and four other unidentified men allegedly surrounded and beat Chris Hines of Chris Hines/Ultimate Entertainment who happens to be a Canadian booking agent. Banks was scheduled to perform near Kitchener Ontario Canada on January 8th at Club N.V. and was to do a set of select songs. According to sources Banks and the four horsemen (poor joke I know) left Hines so beaten he was rushed to the hospital.

Hines suffered minor lacerations, a bruised eye and possible head trauma. Banks arrived late to the venue and reportedly came on stage and performed half a track and walked off stage due to the unruly crowd being pissed off. The assault is reportidly due to Hines refusing to pay Banks considering his short performance. Fan accounts of the lack-luster performance are reportedly being removed around the clock on ThisIs50.com.

Why the fuck do these artists perform if they are going to show up half into the scheduled time of the show? Either show up on time or stop the antics of assaulting people because of your defaults. The same thing went down with DMX.

I think it’s safe to say that DMX is happy to be off Def Jam. The music industry is hard.

DMX was set to perform in Colorado but security wouldnt let him get on because he was an hour late (so?) and threatened to arrest the rapper if he tried to get on stage.

Shit got rowdy when he jumped up and the crowd got involved when security tried to physically pull him off.

dmxIn a bizarre and scathing video-interview, Earl Simmons, better known as Yonkers MC, DMX goes on a 3+ minute rant about Jay-Z. In the video, DMX reminds us of the cipher he and Jay had over 10 years ago. While it wasn’t seen as a “battle,” DMX implies that he was victorious in the “freestyle” exchange. He was right.

DMX goes on to discuss that he had respect for Jay-Z after the battle, but his feelings changed toward him after he became President of Def Jam.

There’s a difference between doing wrong and being wrong; and at one point, you were being wrong…

DMX doesn’t deny Jay-Z’s talent, but says “he has no heart behind it…there’s no soul behind it…it’s motivated by money…”

DMX presents some rather eradic behavior in this video…

Spotted at 2DBz. I’ll stick my head out there and say that back then, DMX was the better rapper (it’s not always about lyrical complexity). Hopefully he can pull his life career back together.

Like we reported last week, DMX was facing additional jail time for aggravated assault but the judge was expected to drop the case and has. Here is what TMZ reported today:

“A judge has decided not to send the oft-troubled rapper to jail after he pled guilty to felony attempted aggravated assault a few weeks back. X was accused of verbally threatening guards at Tent City back in February. Instead, he got 18 months probation, fees and fines, and credit for time served.”
