D-Block

No doubt yo. 50 Cent definitely held it down for the ThisIs50 Music Festival for an interview with MTV on October 3rd from Governors Island in NYC. Cameo’s from Cory Gunz, Trav, Maino, Jadakiss, Sheek Louch, Styles P, Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks and a whole lot of cats. It was good seein’ 50 and the G-Unit crew givin’ daps to D-Block after they squashed their beef.

A lot of people seem to sleep on this cat they call Drag-On. Drag is a Ruff Ryder artist. I’ve never slept on my dude. I’ve been a fan since the day I heard him spit on the track “Spit These Bars” featuring Swizz Beats.

Drag and Terra Da Dude spit fire on this freestyle video “Welcome To The H.E. (Hood Enviornment).” I couldn’t help but laugh, but my man calls himself the Bronx Leprechaun. Haha. Cameo from Sheek Louch. Reppin’ that D-Block.

dj-green-lanternD-Block member Styles P and the Evil Genius DJ Green Lantern have announced a new album. The album is collectively named after their respective mixtape careers.

The album, which is entitled The Green Ghost Project, will hit stores November 17th. It’s being distributed through Invasion/The Orchard. The album features production from several mixtape deejays-turned-producers including Scram Jones, Statik Selektah and obviously DJ Green Lantern.

DJ Green Lantern’s lasting relationship with D-Block was a costly factor during the Jadakiss and 50 Cent beef. He was originally with Shady Records.

“Styles and I got together and made a monster,” said DJ Green Lantern of the project. Styles added, “Don’t call me ‘The Ghost’ right now, call me ‘The Green Ghost.’ It’s a different display of talent. We got together and brainstormed about it and it came out crazy.”
