500 Milli? Good look, Cash Money. Birdman sheds some light on this exceptional matter.
“That’s been the whole goal from day one,” Baby said without a bit of hesitation before running down the financial portfolio of he and his “son,” the enigmatic Lil Wayne. “I was 12 years fittin’ to be a billionaire; I was 15 years old as a millionaire. I’ve been rich since I was 14. My son has been a millionaire since he was 12, so that’s just the life. We’ve been playing with money since young.”
Apparently I’m a month late on this. Mystikal has signed with Cash Money Records. This is becoming one hell of a team over at YMCMB. Anyway, here’s what Birdman had to say:
It is an honor to get the opportunity to work with Mystikal, as we have a long history together. He is a great artist and his talent, combined with our hard work and strong team, is going to result in some of the best music of his career. We are expecting great work from Mystikal. Slim and I already have him in the studio working on his first album for Cash Money.
Mystikal:
It has been a truly long time since I have felt like a rapper and with this signing, and partnership, Birdman and Slim have given me my life as a rapper back. I am ready to go. I am going to put my red Superman drawers, cape and boots on and go! This is a huge moment for me and I am truly excited to be with Cash Money Records”.
P.S. – Mystikals album is slated sometime early Spring of 2012. His first single “Original” which features Lil Wayne and Birdman will premiere tonight.
