The late Pimp C’s sophomore album cover was released today. The name of the album is The Naked Soul of Sweet James Jones. Pimp was a member of UGK along with Bun B.

It was revealed that the album will be released via Rap-A-Lot Records with an unknown time of the release. Bun put the album together with unused vocals from Pimp C. He died in late 2007 due to an accidental overdose of Codeine combined with a sleep disorder called Sleep Apnea.

Bun spoke with XXL Magazine and here’s what he had to say:

“We had enough vocals, But it wasn’t just about taking whatever vocals I had available; it was about constructing songs,” Bun told XXL Mag earlier this year. “It wasn’t about just throwing all the Pimp C I had out there. I had to really try to make an album.”

Travis Barker definitely sparks fire in his latest remix of Slaughterhouse’s “The One”. Don’t forget, Royce Da 5′9″ drops his latest album Street Hop tomorrow! We still waitin’ on that exclusive interview Nickle! Get at us. This remix has a few bars from Bun B.

Another America’s Most Wanted stop and another person for Young Jeezy to bring out on stage. This time the Houston leg of the tour saw Bun B make a surprise appearance.

Mya? Really? I haven’t heard anything from Mya since she was apparently dating Game. But it’s Bun B so gotta support that.

Chamillionaire just released the first disc of the last Mixtape Messiah ever. Disc 1 features Bun B, Z-Ro and Crooked I. Disc 2 will be up tomorrow… Tracklist after the jump.

On the Houston leg of the Great Hangover Tour, Bun B gives Asher Roth his props.

Bun B partied at the Warehouse in Houston and invited Drake, Chamillionaire, Lupe Fiasco and Devin The Dude.

I can’t remember the last time someone’s label signing was so discussed or anticipated. There were rumors floating around that Drake would sign to Lil Wayne’s Young Money way back when he was doing mixtapes with Weezy, but both camps denied it. Looking back on it it was probably a way to keep the speculation and hype going.

But today it was officially announced that Drake had signed the deal with Young Money/Cash Money and that his project would also be distributed by Universal.
